Allen Brothers and Rush Limbaugh
See my previious entries on my problems with Allen Brothers (ESPECIALLY their non-existent "customer service") since Christmas. Here is a copy of the email I AGAIN sent to Rush (I sent him email copies of previous entries in this blog)--actually, I copied Rush on the email to various family members and friends.. Here it is:
I really can't make this stuff up. And Rush Limbaugh (hence the cc) actually ENDORSES this company.
You, of course, know the previous saga of Allen Brothers, Rush, and me from my AOL blog, "The Maverick Conservative. As you know, I had two orders--one to each of my daughters. I paid for overnight, SATURDAY delivery before Christmas. When the orders were not received, I called and CANCELLED (after they could not tell me when the orders WOULD be shipped) on CHRISTMAS EVE. On JANUARY 4, without explanation, or even ever crediting the excess shipping charges, KENDA received her order. I called AGAIN to complain, TWICE (see blog entry), and was assured BOTH orders would be cancelled, and the credit charges reversed (even though one order had already been sent. There was no apology, and I got the feeling it was not going to happen (see blog entry again). Today, KYLA (the other order) sent me an IM saying she was about to get delivery on Friday of HER order (some 20 DAYS after the original shipment date, and after TWO cancellations and THREE calls--the website complaint/comment section NOT WORKING, and I have been finally informed the website is being revamped).
Again, Rush Limbaugh has NOT--that I have heard, although I do not obviously listen all of the time--mentioned the obvious problems Allen Brothers is having with orders (in at least two of my calls, such problems were indicated). However, when he came back from Christmas vacation, Rush DID give a long, glowing endorsement of Allen Brothers on the air. Coincidence? Just when they are obviously having major problems with orders and customer service? I don't think so. Call me cynical.
Present status: I am AGAIN supposed to have the orders canceled retroactively, with Kenda and Kyla getting to keep the orders (plus a gift certificate). This time I actually got an apology (did NOT happen the first three calls). According to this last person there was NO RECORD (not even notation) of previous cancellations).
Question: Will it HAPPEN this time? Remember, there was "no problem" in the first THREE calls either. We will see.
I am AGAIN emailing Rush Limbaugh (copy of this) because I am not too happy with him, at this point, either. Previous emails, and blog entries, obviously got me nowhere. Well, Rush is not running for office. I guess he does not worry about listeners being dissatisfied with his advertisers.
