Hillary Clinton: Illegal Immigration Deception
Hillary Clinton cannot help, it seems, exposing the REAL Democratic position on illegal immigration. (See the multiple entries in this blog).
There was the driver's license gaffe (a "gaffe" because she let the cat out of the bag--not because her position really was any different from that of her opponents).
Now, at a rally in California--when told that a woman was "illegal"--Hillary Clinton said: "No woman in this country is illegal."
That, in a nutshell, IS the "policy" of the Democratic candidates--ALL of them. If illegal immigrants can get into this country (and there is ALWAYS a way if the incentive is strong enough, and the Democrats--plus McCain--want to keep the encetive strong enough), Democrats want them to be able to stay here. This is, effectively, an "open borders" policy--maybe with an obstacle course.
Remember the Berlin Wall (which East Germany used to try to keep people IN). MACHINE GUNS were not enough to keep people from getting through. You need a combination of direct border security measures AND measures to discourage/deport people who get through them. Either alone is NOT SUFFICIENT. That is also why McCain is hopeless. He still has the same Kennedy policy, and won't even admit he was wrong (only that he FAILED). Talk about ARROGANCE. He might be able to give President Bush lessons on the subject.
