Yes, there is breaking news about the Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate award earlier today to the Rocky Mountain News, the despicable Associated Press, and AOL (see today's earlier entry).

The judges of the award APOLOGIZE (unlike the new winners).  The Award was premature (although the old winners DESERVED the award, and are included in the group of new winners).  The judges have determined that the award was PREMATURE.

See the previous story on the Miinneapolis bridge collapse.  This blog TOLD you, AT THE TIME, that the media SPECULATION on the bridge collapse was ridiculous. 

Now the Federal investigatiors have concluded that NONE of the media "explanations" for the bridge collapse were correct. The judges have determined that this massive show of INCOPETAENCE and "journalistic" evil, could not be ignored. 

Therefore, the MAINSTREAM MEDIA is this week's winner of the coveted Flying Finger of Fate award ("the Finger").

The statuette is therefore presented to the  mainstrem media (visualize the statuette of an index finger pointing being presented here):  The finger is pointing at YOU--you, the members of the disgraceful mainstream media.  NOBODY deserves it more.

The problem, of course, is that the judges may have to DISQUALIFY the mainstream media from winning this award at some point, because they may win it EVERY WEEK.  That is unfair to the other contestants.
