Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright: Flashback
Yes, today's story is aboutt he chilling 911 call from one of the brothers involved in the San Francisco Zoo tiger attack saying: "My brother is about to die." This prompts this "Maverick Conservative" flashback, as the stories still reflect that the city is desperately trig to get actual evidence that the victims provoked the tiger:
The San Francisco Chronicle and Fox News JOINTLY (it is an equal opportunity award) received the coveted "Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate" ("the Finger") award for their disgraceful coverage right after the tiger attack. See the archives of "The Maverick Conservative".
Remember the ANONYMOUS SOURCE "report" that a BLOODY SHOE had been found in the enclousre? It turned out to be FALSE. This IMMEDIATE media RUMOR AND GOSSIP calls somewhat into question--although it is possible that actual FACTS may still prove it true-- subsequent attempts to show that the victims "provoked" the tiger (saying "yo' mama", or jumping up and down does NOT do it). FACTS are what are needed here.
But that is why the San Francisco Chronicle land Fox News received the coveted "Finger". They, and the rest of the mainstream media, would not know an actual fact if they saw it (they did NOT discover the FACT that the wall was too short).
Remember how the media accepted as FACT the claims that the tiger enclosure wall was 20 feet high; then that it was 18 feet high, and thine--OOPS!!!--it turned out to be just 12 feet high. Then there was the implication that the moat had water in it. There was also SPECULATION that the victims had HELPED the tiger get out, since the tiger could not jump an 18 ft. wall.
Nope. These were DESERVING winners of the "Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate": callng into question the credibility of all media coverage since, from people (sources) with an agenda (city trying to cast "blame" on the victims, when the BEST they can do is suggest that the victims were ALSO at fault).
