Terrorists: Constitutional Rights?: FDR's Body Goes to Jail
Do foreign terrorists really have the Constitutional rights of a citizen of the United States? Of course not. Senate Democrats are back trying to claim that the "rights" of terrorists were "violated" by waterboarding, but even more than that. Through their usual press agents at the despicable AP (and AOL), Democrats are trying to DIVIDE us by CRIMINAZING efforts aganist OUR ENEMIES. It is no coincidence that the despicable AP also often acts as a press agent for Al Qaeda. Here is the lead paragraph of the latest AP/AOL story:
Whose side are Democrats (of the political kind) on? Oh. I forgot. That is already established. Democrats, the depsciable AP, AOL News, and most of the rest of the mainstream media are on the side of the TERRORISTS.
Does Obama know what Democrat politicians are out there trying to DIVIDE us by making things done in the past (right after 9/11) CRIMINAL? Nope. This is NOT about the future. Democrats are obsessed with PERSECUTING people for things done in the now distant past, which the people doing them thought (with reason) was in the best interest of this country. That is DIVISIVE. It is not an attmept to "bring us together".
In fact, the only reason Democrats have this irrational obsession with CRIMINALIZING actions taken in the War on Terror is because of their obsessive hatred of the Bush Administration. Oh. I forgot. They also think it plays well politically to try to CRIMINALIZE behavior for no purpose. Democrats WANT to "divide us", so long as they think it strenghtens their political hand.
What RIGHTS did NAZIS have fighting us in World War II (not to mention the Japanese LEGAL RESIDENTS of teh United States who were DETAINED by FDR--illegally, to be sure, but no one advocated putting FDR IN JAIL for it)?
To answer my own question, foreign enemies ONLY have the righst given to them under treaties like the Geneva Convention (to which Al Qaeda is NOT a signatory, and which Al Qaeda does NOT honor). One would suspect that our soldiers in World War II (besides FDR's treatment of Japanese CITIZENS) did not ALWAYS honor every period and comman of the Geneva Convention. But we did not have Congress doing a continuous INVESTIGATION on the subject. Back then, we knew that we had an actual WAR to win.
Yes, Congressional Democrats are also holding up the renewal of lthe FISA law that gives us the right to intercept the communications of FOREIGN terrorists. Democrats evidently want to give foreign terrorists the right to be secure from unreasonable search and seizure, without a warrant. That "right" would be NEWS to the Nazis and Japanese ENEMIES in World War II. The idea that our FOREIGN ENEMIES should have Constitutional "rights" is just silly.
Leave it to Democrats/leftists to try to DIVIDE us as to dealing with our ENEMIES--to the point of even criminalizing every difference of opinion. I think we should go back and put FDR's BODY IN JAIL (after exhumation of the coffin), to show how far we are willing to go to dump on people in our own country doing the best they can to protect this country.
