California and Health Care for All
Remember Arnold's "universal health care" plan for all (including illegal immigrants). Well, the bill to "give" all California residents health care insurance has been KILLED in the California State Senate. WHY? You know why. It would cost too much.
Does California have more or less money than the ordinary state? Right again. It has more. So what is going on here is that California Democrats do NOT want to be held accountable for the VISIBLE cost of "health insurance for all", but stsill strongly support the same program for the nation!!!!
The point here goes well beyond hypocrisy. There is NO REASON that each state cannot do its own health care plan (each state regulates AUTO INSURANCE, for God's sake). And each state could tailor its own plan to its own needs and values. Further, it would be VISIBLE what money is being spent ant where (MUCH more visible than in the massive, bloated unaccountable spending of the Federal Government).
Oh I do know the reason leftists propose a FEDERAL solution to things that would BETTER be done on a state level. Leftists, of course, want POWER, and "cntral planning" (despite history lesson that it is a TERRIBLE idea). But there is a really fundamental reason that leftists want things done by the government LEAST able to keep costs under control: the Federal Government. That also happens to be the government that dprives yhou of the MOST freedom and flexibility.
The reason is the old SHELL GAME. The Federal Government can print money. Further its budget (and tax collections) is already so big that most people do not conect COSTS with benefits.. Federal money is regarded as FREE MONEY (even though leftists like Hillary Clinton have made a point of saying that "blue states" like New York and California send more money to Washington than they get "back", without pointing out the obvious lesson that blue states would be better off not sending the money to the Federal Government in the first place--handling their problems with their own money). As I say, this is the old shell game (where is the pea? It has been PALMED, as the idea is to DECEIVE about the real costs of what the Federal Government does.
