I have told you before that there is NO scientific evidence connecting "global warming" and storms--just SPECULATION.  I have previously told you that famed hurrincane forecaster William Gray, of Colorado State University, has ridiculed the idea that hurrincanes and global warming are connected.  For that (by his own assertion), Colorado State University recently threatened to withdraw support for his hurricane forecasts (illustrating yet again that leftists do NOT believe in free speech, true academic freedom, or unbiased science).

Well, now we have today's story of a federal scientist attacking the "orthodoxy" on "global warmng":

"Global warming isn't to blame for the recent jump in hurricanes in the Atlantic, concludes a study by a prominent federal scientist whose position has shifted on the subject."

Notice the subtle AP propaganda, even in the above paragraph. The most "recent" years have NOT shown a "jump".  For the last two years, hurricanes have shown a DECREASE in the Atlantic (ever since the year of Katrina).

This federal scientist says HIS computer model suggests that hurricane will DECLINE 18% over this century, and those hitting the U.S. decline 30%.

Note this coninued reliance on "coomputer models", rather than true climate "theory".  The AP noted that other scientiests attacked the validity of THIS computer model, and the way this scientist is interpreting.

Let us go back.  Did ANY computer model PREDICT the LIGHT hurrican years of 2006 and 2007?  Not a chance.  Yet, they are STILL suggesting that they can predict the next CENTURY.

Hogwash.  If you can't predict climate year to year, you can't predict it 10, 20, or 100 years from now.  Sure, there could be aberrant years.  But you HAVE to be able to generally make accurate predictions, or you have NO theory.  As I have repeatedly said, there is NO comprehensive theory of CLIMATE out there.  All we have is the vague concept of WARMING because of greenhouse gases.  And now the evidence is that the Earth is COOLING (as it did from 1940 to 1970).   The emperor has no clothes (my best description of the "global warming" fraud).
