Fexon Technology Ltd: VIA sales lsaiah sample join the low-cost notebook market competition
Fexon Technology Ltd reports: VIA
has started to sell low-cost computer maker lsaiah new processor samples.
The current VIA C7 processor has been regarded by some computer manufacturers,
such as Hewlett-Packard production of ultra-thin client computers. C7 and
lsaiah are x86-compatible processor, which means they can run Intel and AMD processors
supported by the same software.
VIA's chips for a subsidiary of Centaur Technology CEO Henry said, the company
is to the client "actively marketing" based on the x86 architecture
lsaiah chip samples, new product is released in May-June this year. Henry said,
the first generation lsaiah C7 chip will be compatible with pinhole series
processor, but performance will be increased by two to four times. Fujitsu

VIA executives said lsaiah processor specific target is low-cost "thin and
light notebook market," with Intel's upcoming Atom'Silverthorne 'target
market coincidence (Intel like to call its' netbook'). Lsaiah power consumption
is not more than 3.5 watts, while Intel said Atom series of indicators for electricity
consumption from 0.6 to 2.5 watts.
VIA also plans to launch dual-core version lsaiah, but the company did not
