Racoons!!!
Heyyyyyyy guess who showed up in the yard the other night,,,, two Racoons. A piar of bandit,,, masked mauraders,,,lolololol soooo I have done some research and, found out they like hard dog and, cat food but, a professional Zoologist at the Enviromental cntr said be extremely careful of RABBIES and WORMS!!!! Sooo I watch the critters through the window and, Josy and, Giffy get a big kick out of seeing them. NOT to mention the POSSUM that ambled up after the Racoons had left,,, the Enviromental cntr said not to worry about the Possum. It is pretty harmless and, seems to like dry cat food. What a surprise to get some critters to watch out the window!!!

Here Comes MARDI GRAS!!!!!
HELLO!!!!! HERE COMES DA MARDI GRAS!!!! I can't tell you all the fun I have had at Mardi Gras over the years. Maybe I should give you a history of Mardi Gras first..... The oldest Mardi Gras is in Mobile, Alabama. It restarted shortly after the Civil War with Chief Slacabamamorinico or Joe Cain for short. They paraded around town throwing beads and trinkets to people on the street. Then the bigger parade organizations started up Krews, Orders and, Organizations. In New Orleans the oldest organization is Krew of Comus that parades Fat Tuesday night. Mardi Gras day... The oldest parading organization is Krew of Rex. That started parading in the late 50's. Mardi Gras is a day before the Catholic day of Ash Wednesday. The beginning of the thin season of Lent. So Mardi Gras is a big party and, blowout before the season of Lent on the Catholic calendar. Mardi Gras has a flag whose colors are green, purple and, gold. One can throw a King Cake party with a King Cake and, who ever gets the bean or little baby Jesus in the cake, Throws the next party. Everyone must unmask at midnight Mardi Gras day. The celebration last a few weeks before Lent and, is a time of drunken excess and, revelry with parades and, Mardi Gras associations Balls and, dances. In Mobile the big catch from the Mardi Gras "Decorated floats and, costumed riders," is moon pies. A marshmallow with cookies on top and, bottom... In New Orleans the big catch from the floats at Mardi Gras is "Dubloons." A metal coin thrown and, dubloons have people that are collectors of the coins and, many older dubloons are worth alot of money in collector circles.... Mardi Gras is a great big street party. Some say it's the largest street party in the world. Rivaled by the South American "Carnival," in Brazil. "Everyone Come to the Mardi Gras," is the name of a popular song. There are many songs about and, for Mardi Gras. So when you get down in Febuary just search the net for Mardi Gras websites and, there are even Mardi Gras Cam's on the web and, parade and krew schedules. so come celebrate the Mardi Gras with us here in the beautiful Deep South.

Congress passed and, the President signed new changes into effect for prescription drug coverage out to medical groups around the country... OK ??? What do I need to do? Well that's easy pick a plan.... Great, Done,,,, So I went with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. The Blue Advantage option II for $43.00 and, I get great coverage and, the prescription plan,,, I thought!!!! Sooo I get a letter that option II is ending and, I will be upgraded to option IV. I ask "How much....." They say $59.00 and, I ask "do I have a choice??? Noooo!!!! If you want Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama...... Well I said "Great" I'll go with it!!! My prescription's had only been $3.00 under Medicaid,,, WOW!!! A call to Medicare, Medicaid and, Blue Cross I immediately did to find out my Co-pays should only be $2.00 FOR Generic!! Anyway in the mean time I get a call from a nice lady at Blue Cross inquiring about my psychiatrist and medical group at Mobile Mental Health Cntr. THAT THEY ARE OUT OF NETWORK!!!!! Sooo I'm waiting to fill out a enrollment with Blue Cross for their "Special needs option VI and, VII" That would cost either $0.00 or $18.00. If approved by Medicaid and, Medicare as a "Special needs" soooooo I will update this entry to let you know how's well in the experience with the new "Part D Medicare!!!" WELL HURRAH FOR ALL THE GOOD PEOPLES DEDICATION AT Medicare, Medicaid and, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.... I made it to the "Special needs," program. Cameras Cameras Cameras
Hello,
As you can tell from the title I have come into focus with a Konica/Minolta Dimage Z10!!! digital memory camera. AND THEN my boss Commander Chuck of Skywatch Traffic cleaned out his garage and gave me two boxes of stuff and, on top was a tripod!!! Which is what I wanted for Christmas and, then there was a Sony HI8 Handicam video/sound camera in the box. Along with an assortment of radios and, a Optimus, Radio Shack LCD miniature TV,,,, WOW!!! So i imediately started shooting a video diary. and I just had to get a DVD recorder to make DVD's so I could give my presentations to friends and, family.... I will be shooting a video diary and, producing a DVD movie every few months as things happen around here. I have had beautiful results with the digital camera and, have published AOL Photo Albums and, had quite a few compliments on my photographs and, plan to give mounted photos as Christmas gifts. The cameras go with me everywhere. So i don't ever miss a shot. ADDITION!!! The Sony burnt up soooo I have purchased an Ricoh Video camera and, am very happy with it!!!

Katrina, A Hard Blow
Hey People,
((((((((((( I survived Katrina )))))))))) I wish everyone could be as lucky as me!!! I ran out of gasoline for my 1000 watt wonder (generator) as right when the power came back on. Katrina was a monday morning storm on August 29th as I remember taking a nap. Catching a few winks before landfall at the mouth of the Mississippi river.... The wind started to gust shortly after midnight and, did not cease untill late that day. You got to go figure the storm had started to subside when the power finaly went out, after blinking for a few hours. I have been through many really severe storms like Betsy and, Camille and, a number of storms that I have forgoten. the nieghborhood turned into a generator party and, I gladly handed out "warm cans of coke" lolol. Katrina was an incredibly powerful storm with much of the state of Mississippi coastline decimated!!! and New Orleans flooded!!! With huge 50 to 100 foot shrimp boats on the south Mobile Co. pushed up into the tree line of the bays and bayous.

What is a Mobile, Alabama???
Heyyyyy There!!!
A Mobile, Alabama is a city in the Deep South of the USA and, has been around to celebrate 300 years of existance. Mobile is a port city and, a beautiful city that is famous for the Battleship, USS Alabama, the Azealea flower trail and, Belingrath Gardens. Mobile has had many flags including the Spanish, the British and, the French. There were decisive battles fought here during the Civil War. Mobile has many old forts to explore!!! The rich history of Mobile and, lower Alabama lends to quite a range of foods. From fresh seafood to Cajun dishes. Mobile is just a short jog to beautiful white sand beaches of Gulf Shores on the Gulf of Mexico and, just south of Mobile is Dog River and, just south of that is Duaphin Island on the Mississippi Sound. The climate is sub-tropical with a temperature range of 40 degrees in winter (with a population of "Snow Birds") to a average high in summer of 89 degrees. Mobile is big on humidity and, has the most rainfall of any city in the U. S. at an average of 60+ inches a year. Mobile also is a university town and, has a large set of hospitals. There are many stores and shops that serve tourist and the city folk. Mobile has one of the largest malls right in the center of the city. There is a progressive art community in town. with a variety of antique shops in many areas. If you would like to read about my experiences here and, in New Orleans. When I was growing up. You can read my webpages http://www.hometown.aol.com/skywham/index.html At this time Mobile has a baseball team called the Bay Bears. That are located at Hank Arron stadium. Ocassionaly Mobile gets a hit from a hurricane but, we have recovery down to an art... Enjoy Mobile if you are thinking of a vacation. It's a beautiful city!!!
