Welcome Back

At The Drive-In: Metronome Arthritis

Welcome back all non-believers/haters/straight fools, and everyone else that I am forgetting.  And let me stress a hearty welcome to all of the few that stood by my side last season as well.  It was a fun year, full of broken records, 30 TD's over 3 recievers, and multiple other accolades.

I made my first appearance on SBL last night since the bold stand at the end of the 2004 season when I called in only to have no one but the roundtable to talk too, no flack from any of you that have busted my balls all season, except in writing.  The least you could do is talk to me a little on the show, let me hear your voices, because most of your entries sound a bit feminine, (sorry to all the sports loving ladies out there).

My latest comments follow.

Dear mal4 your insane.......  Have you ever seen Manning not on the field 2 hours before game time running patterns with his whole corp of wideouts???  Sure, he is not a team player, sure.....

Steveso3- I like you, your obsession with buying yourself diamonds when the Patriots win SB's is intriguing to say the least, and I hope for your financial well being that things this year go in the oposite direction.  I do hope that I am in your shoes some day.  Well, not really in your shoes, because that would indicate that I was wearing the shoes of a Patriot fan, and that surely would never happen.  Never the less, you had nice words for me and my team, and I thank you for that.  See you on November 7th in Foxboro, Monday Night Baby!!!!!

bostonhopp-thank you, your are a gentleman.   Batman movies???  Ok, I get it.  Listen here son. The mask was a spur of the moment purchase prior to a halloween party.  I got it Halloween day, for a discounted price of 5 dollars. I am in no way a follower of Batman movies, or any super hero for that matter, and I find myself to be knowledgeable in the game of football.  What I do know is that Boston is a great city, I love going there for weekends occasionally and enjoy the city in general.  New Jersey is not where I thought that I would end up, that is for sure.  Let me give you a little background.

I grew up in North VA, right outside of DC,

I moved to New Jersey

That isall you need to know.

Now, if I am batman, than Tom Brady is Robin, and his BEST friends are the Boston Red Sox, (know what I mean)

As stated, Welcome Back everyone.  And now it begins.....

Brady Hater18

DATE: January 17th 2005

Well, the mind games worked again.  The Colts have become immersed in Belichick’s spell after flying north of Tennessee.  This is a strange phenomenon.  The Colts are going to have to win the AFC in order to make it any further.  They simply will have to have home field advantage if they want a real shot at the trophy.  Or, maybe a summer of counseling, something to help with their confidence when they travel to New England.

Of course what everyone was asking for happened.  A snow storm once again crept its way into Foxboro, much earlier than anticipated, and that was enough to initially break my confidence.

The Colts struggled early.  Dallas Clark’s dropped ball was an indication of the rest of the game.  Tom Brady played masterfully, and the rushing attack was stunning.  Over 200 yards rushing by Cory Dillon and Faulk and control of the clock was the Colts worst nightmare.  The backup secondary of the Patriots simply stayed with the ball, and did not slip up.  Simply they were a better team last night, as they have been the past 7 meetings.

Either way after the game, Brady and Bruschi most likely sat down at a candle lit dinner, told each other how beautiful they are, and sealed the night with a kiss.  See you next year!!!!!

I have never seen such an overated, underachiever, and choker as I have in Manning.
He is a great front runner in a game, but when the chips are dowm, so is he.
Brady is such a clutch winner it is unbelievable....look at his last second, final drive stats....!!
Also, I do not believe he is the team player like Brady, who lifts weights and works out with his lineman & other teamates and takes pay cuts to make more available for other players on the TEAM.
I do not care HOW MANY touchdowns Mannings throws or what his stats are or end up being for his career....he is nowhere near the overall QB Brady is and will continue to be.
Brady has been working harder as second fiddle his whole life, and I am afraid the Mannings have been the "silver spoons players" their whole life.  LOOK at the way his brother acted and was treated when he was drafted....!!   Nuff said!!!!!

Bradyhater18 has to be the biggest mor on on these boards. I wonder if the boy knows anything about football. He needs to stick with Batman movies and leave Football to the men. A Colts fan living in Jersey...does it get any worse than that.

I don't know why we can't beat the patriots at foxborough, I agree we need to play them elsewhere, however the patriots beat us here as-well.

I suggest that you read my comments -- at the very bottom below the  Tuesday, January 18, 2005 "Divisional Playoffs in Review"...  regarding the CURSE against the Indianapolis "Team" and the House of Irsay.  It isn't the weather - or anything else that the team members or couches can control - that is keeping your 'team' from making when it counts.  You guys have some BIG, bad-karma to pay.  Just look at the record of your 'team' for the last 10 years.  You can steal something, but you can NEVER enjoy it fully afterwards.

    Until you make amends.

You can think about this next year.

    And the year after.

    And the year after.......

    And so on.
