Feeling Sad
NEWS FLASH !!
REMEMBER THIS ENTRY??
Work has been a disaster. I inadvertantly "injured" a client because of a faulty work door and was almost FIRED after 13 years of FLAWLESS record . I have been emotionally scarred now. How can a workplace that stresses the values and importance of "FAMILY" be so quick to RUIN my life in one fell blow !!! The worst part was that there was no room for discussion or anything. I was TRIED and VERDICT was handed down without so much as a EXPLANATION from me, or an apology from them for the standards that I work in being BELOW safety guidelines and I PAID THE PRICE. I was up for a MAJOR promotion in the next few months...one that I was training for an was being told I was an EXCELLENT candidate for. Now....because of all of this....well....SHIT ....I cannot be considered for the job, or ANY job for that matter for an entire year. Makes my stomach CRINGE just thinking about it. I was advised to possibly seek legal help, but why fight a losing battle with a MAJOR "Mart" corporation. I am just another number instead of the so called FAMILY they say we all are. My fellow workers have been MUCH more supportive. They a feel that I am getting the royal SHAFT !! hmmm.....ME TOO !!
REMEMBER ????...a few months back in August I wrote that one. Well.......I just got FIRED on the 10th. Thirteen years of exceptional service and I was CANNED !!!
I went above everyones heads to get a resolution to the past situation, and ruffled a few feathers of those in direct supervisory roles to me. Needless to say I wa being watched, told that I wasn't doing my job satisfactorily, and then was called in to the office for a verbal warning about job performance and was instead FIRED !!!!!!!!!!

As a single mom, I am devistated. This was going to be MY best Christmas ever. A new house, big tree, lots of presents.....brought to a standstill by an earth shattering crush of my heart and 13 years of dedicated service to a company that in my opinion is all talk...corporate bull !!!
I have never been FIRED in my lifetime. I truly know the meaning of the words "If they want you gone....they can do it!!"
Now, feeling like a scrooge, I am trying to salvage the last of my dignity and go out, at Christmastime...(ha ha ha) and find a job. I am too old for this!!!
