My Grandmother believes in spirits and ghosts, and has always told me to keep my mind open. She loves sharing her stories of having premonitions and being "visited by spirits." While I can't say I flat out believe that ghosts exist, I do believe that they could, and have a decent number of superstitions.
I think my biggest supersition is that I'm flat out afraid of mirrors in the dark. I think, anyway, that it goes back to the Bloody Mary myth (or as South Park would have it, Biggie Smalls), where if you say the name "Bloody Mary" three times in the mirror she'll reach out and scratch your face (or kill you, depending on the version of the myth you've heard). I came very close to doing this when I was a teenager, but chickened out before I said the name a third time. My friends and I scared ourselves enough with Oujia Boards.
Supernatural's tackled the Bloody Mary story, and it's probably one of the few episodes where I remember every single detail (beyond just remembering how cute Jensen Ackles was. teehee.). I was very, very spooked by the episode.
So yeah. My superstition is that I won't look at mirrors in the dark. There's just something about knowing that I shouldn't be able to see anything in the mirror that worries me. I keep thinking that someday I will see something. Silly? Totally. But it's just my thing. :)
What about you all? Any weird superstitions? Share 'em, it's Halloween!

That is so funny!
Thanks for sharing...
be well,

I have no doubt that my friends were pushing the Oujia board when I was a teen, although it was still fun to play with.
I fully admit that my superstition is silly and illogical. But by definition, aren't they all? :)
And you mean everything on tv isn't real? :D Supernatural's just a tv show, but a fun one with cute boys that keeps bringing up "real" urban myths. Ever see Urban Legend? Same kinda thing. Fun! Silly, but fun! -
You do know that Supernatural is just a TV show, right? I can't believe anyone older than twelve could still be worried about such a silly thing. Ouija boards, too, are silly superstition, and don't really do anything more than allow people to play trick on themselves.
