Happy Novel Writing Month!

November is National Novel Writing Month, and for the past few years, there has been a "contest" called NaNoWriMo that I've watched with some fascination. The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in November. The whole thing. In one month. Anyone who finishes "wins."

I've decided to join in on the fun this year. I'm probably nuts, and will write 50k words of junk, but as they say - quality doesn't matter (which is a riot), just word count. I will enjoy this, at least, it's been a long time since I've 'picked up the pen' (so to speak) and done some heavy duty fiction writing. I've missed it.

So...here I go! 50k by November 30th or bust. Wish me luck!!

All the best with your novel!  I admire you for going for that goal.  (I should work on the one I'm thinking about, but I'd really have to flog myself.)

I'm sure you'll have a blast, and I am dying with curiosity over what you're going to be writing about.  Good luck!

um, yeah, given that there are 30 days in November, that would have been a little weird. :) I've fixed the entry.

    Oops.
