Oooh, Pretty (R9 is out!)

Have I mentioned lately how awesome the Blogs team is?

R9 was pushed out to production (the journals.aol.com site) ahead of our schedule, at 4am EST this morning. If anyone was up at that awful hour and noticed the site was slow (or down), that would be why.

This build did contain some changes you all will notice, mainly that we've made the site a little prettier. CSS is fuuun.

Other than that, we fixed some bugs that I'll hope you never saw in the first place, so those changes shouldn't effect you (and hopefully never effected you in the first place).

Of course, if you do find any problems, let me know so we can look into them and fix.

ehm, it looks nice and all that, but I liked it the way it was before. it was very friendly, not too much stuff crowding the entry page, and there was NOT so much WHITE!! Could you please make the "add entry" page background something other than white? it looks boring, and I liked the blue. I like the buttons, though! :P

I am really upset that I can't algin my pictures the way I could before with a little html coding. Took forever for me to learn this and now it won't work. Can't you fix it?

When I bring my journal up, it has bits and pieces of posts I made a couple weeks ago. I have to go in archives to get to my recent posts. Can ya help fix it, please? Thanx!

Hi theres, hows it going? Wow i definetly noticed the change earlier today. Its neater, prettier and diff style to it. Which is great ty for the heads up about all this. But to me sorry to say but whats the big deal with the new release? I am very disappointed. Nothing has majorly changed. I have been blogging for yrs now and have been hoping for yrs to finally have more colors, skins and cool bkgs to choose from. Instead these plain boring ones we still have for yrs. I really hope u guys can finally give journals more of a new look/makeover. Hopefully if theres an R-10? lol. Ty for reading, have a good weekend, Leslie

Hi there. I was disappointed to learn that my HTML coding will no longer work when leaving an entry. I liked to put the code "align=right" or "align=left" within a graphic HTML code to be able to wrap text around my graphics. I could switch "text" mode to "HTML" mode and insert that code and it would work. Why won't it work now?
