Subject: Yet ANOTHER moon for Saturn...
Time: 11:39:00 AM EDT
Author:  stuartatk

CASSINI scientists have discovered a(nother) new moon in orbit around Saturn. This brings to 60 the total of satellites whirling around the "Ringed Planet", and there are doubtless many more just waiting to be found in the weeks and months ahead.

Full story on the BBC sci-tech website.

It can only be a matter of time before Saturn's moon tally exceeds Jupiter's, which currently stands at 63. Jupiter probably has a lot more moons than that, but without a camera-laden state of the art spaceprobe like Cassini to explore it, Jupiter's system can only be trawled for moons from here on Earth, using terrestrial telescopes, so any major moon discoveries out at Jupiter will probably have to wait a while.
