The country's scientists - both professional and amateur - are going to be very busy in a week or so, because it's almost time for NATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING WEEK 2008! Up and down the UK there'll be events such as talks, workshops and presentations, all with the aim of increasing public interest in, and support for, science and engineering. Here in Kendal there'll be a lot going on! Full details next week, but here's a teaser...
Thursday March 13th, 7pm - astronomy lecture at Kendal Library...
Saturday 15th March, 2.30pm - astronomy lecture at Kendal Museum...
Saturday March 15th, 7pm onwards - Eddington Astronomical Society "Skywatch" at Kendal Castle (weather permitting!)
