Apologies for the break in transmission recently - if any of you were really bothered, haha! - but I've been a) away from my computer and b) getting broadband up and running. Yes, I know, finally, the last dial-up user on the planet, perhaps in this whole part of the Milky Way, has been dragged into the 21st century and can now download images from NASA websites while he sits at the computer instead of leaving them downloading while he goes out shopping. Or on holiday.
So is broadband any different? Any better? Oh yes. Watching NASA TV is now an absolute joy - a crystal clear picture, no interruptions, no re-buffering, just wonderful. Images download more quickly too, of course, and I can download audio and video content more easily, too. And I can finally watch things on YouTube! No, not clips of kittens falling off chairs... as funny as they are... but lots of NASA stuff, spacey clips, news footage. And Dr Who season 4 trailers! It's a whole new world.
And Mars through the IAS viewer... well, see below.
Broadband. That's more like it.
