FURR BABIES...

This is APACHE, he's a Husky/Border Collie/German Shepard mix, 6 yo. He's my sons pet...however, since I live with my son ( my girls & I occupy the 2 back bedrms ), he's a part of my family too!

He's such a smart guy!  A big boy of 85 lbs. Has beautiful yel eyes, like my Shy Anne did (she was his sister). He reminds me of her in some ways, although she was more slender & her color was dk choclate brown with a white star on her chest. But the same yellow eyes & temperment!!!

Apche has grown up with my sons family ( 3 grandkids to put up with ). He's a very obedient, affectionate boy. I feel they don't give him enough love, so I try to lavish some on him when they're at work/school. He's mostly ignored by all of them, such a shame.

When they don't let him out, after repeated beggins, he'll come to my door!!! Or if they forget to feed him or water him, I find him at my door. He knows where to go!!!!!!!!!!

He has terrible food allergies, can only eat one food & even then he has breakoust on his paws & terribly inside his ears, & occ sores on stomach & back. But his ears are the worst! Poor baby! But he just smiles through it all!!!

I'm really worried about him right now, he has a huge tumor on his chest & a smaller one under his arm pitt . When they took him for his shots in Aug, the Vet told them the lg one was just a fatty tumor, but the smaller one could be cancer & needed to be removed & checked out...then before they could schedule it...the Vet passed away with a stroke. He was such a nice man, he's been my Vet since coming to MO. He always treated my pets even when I didn't have the money. He'd say...just pay me later. And I did!!! His fees were  nuch cheaper then any other Vet around here, too. So, now that he's gone, my son says he can't afford to have it done right now!!! I know they're having $ problems, had to file bankruptcy in June! And I am barely getting by on my Social Security Disability, in fact Angels shots are due & I can't find a Vet reasonable enough to get them. I pray it's not cancer, & they can get them removed soon.

He's a wonderful pal to the kids, he's been dragged around & stepped on, & rode, as they were growing up. Of course, they're older now & play ball with him occ, once in awhile they'll take time to pet him, he eats that up!
