OK, now it's the moment you've all been anticipating all week -- or at least since you saw a little blurb for my Summer Movie Awards on Moviefone about three seconds ago. Regardless, the moment to which I refer is the final edition of this summer's TOMMYS (kind of like a Miller Lite version of the Oscars). If you haven't already, check out Part I and Part II when you have a chance. But first, I present the final winners in this, the much-ballyhooed First Annual Tommy Awards.
Actress We Wanted More Of: Keri Russell, 'Mission: Impossible III'
The cute little curly-locked gal from 'Felicity' reinvented herself in a big way playing a badass superspy opposite Tom Cruise. She may have been covered in a whole lot of dirt and crap, but she still looked amazing while throwing a buttload of bad guys the beatings of a lifetime. My only regret: that she's only in the first scene of 'M:i:III.' In my mind, THAT -- and that alone -- is the reason the film wasn't a box-office behemoth.
Best Soundtrack: 'Little Miss Sunshine'
From the first frame, music and film are in perfect harmony in 'Little Miss Sunshine.' The instrumental score that plays as each of the characters is introduced is a thing of melancholic genius, setting the tone for the entire movie. And it only gets better from there. Sufjan Stevens' 'Chicago' is a must-include for anyone making a mixed CD for a road trip. And once you've listened to Devotchka's 'Til the End of Time' and 'How It Ends' one time each, they'll haunt you just as much as this priceless and unforgettable film.
Best Soundtrack Runner-Up: 'The Last Kiss'
Even though the movie doesn't come out 'til Sept. 15, Zach Braff's follow-up to his Grammy-winning 'Garden State' soundtrack is already giving Zach-titutes across the country a reason smile (yes, he helped pick the songs). Tunes such as Snow Patrol's 'Chocolate' and Coldplay's 'Warning Sign' embody the film's theme of grappling with impending adulthood and the uncertainty of the future, but the true find here is the Simon-and-Garfunkel-esque Joshua Radin.
Most Kick-Ass Film: 'Little Miss Sunshine'
No other movie this summer combines comedy, drama, superb screenwriting (Matthew Broderick's former assistant penned the script) and pitch-perfect acting quite like 'Sunshine.' Every once in a while it's good to be reminded why we love going to movies and why we love being alive. This film does both.

i disagree on little miss sunshine being the best flick of the summer i would 100% say that pirates of the caribbean dead mans chest was the hit of the summer it raked in more money in one weekend then little miss sunshine will probably rake in the whole time its in box office!!!!!

I saw Snakes on a Plane last night. It has a dominant soundtrack. It should at least be Best Soundtrack Runner-Up. "The Last Kiss" probably sucks, and Zach Braff is definitely a burnt turkeyburger of an actor.

SUPERMAN RETURNS was an amazing film that didn't get enough time to be Number 1 because of a silly Disney movie with popular actors in it. Yes, Superman is comic book fiction, but PIRATES was completely childishly stupid. I have no idea how it made so much money.

essentially, we've created an Everyone's Hero Game for the upcoming release of the film.
