When I was on vacation I went way up in the hills into this little store full of very strange people. There was a sign that said "soda pop" in there. Then I went to a town where there were haunted fields and haunted woods all over the place, but everyone who lived there said it was a real boring place. So the next town I went to had an abandoned factory right there in the middle of the town. After that I went to a town where they had some real hot college girls but none of them got killed. I saw a couple of cars crash into each other. The next town had a place where you could buy fake meteorites. The town after that had a place where they served breakfast all day. The town after that had three or four second-rate colleges. I don't know if anyone got killed there and I don't care. After that I went home and drank beer with some college girls. They didn't get killed but a couple of them showed off for me.

These horror vacationing movies, are inventions of what can truly go wrong to the extreme. The worst in most vacation, no matter where you go is robbery. So, some common scene when not in the home town is 1) Dont flash jewerly or money 2) Make a copy of your IDs and have the hotel hold them for you, in case of a robbery. 3) Be polite and respectful  4) confirm all vacation confirmation a week before so you can have a smooth arrival & departure. 4) Stay close to the "Tourist location"
Ive travel abroad & in the USA.. these rules work fabulously in both. Enjoy the movies, and dont inspire a horror one! Be well.

The United States has a quarter of the world's prisoners, for real, and those prisons are horrible, by the worst of standards, and most of those prisoners, i.e., people living in cages completely segregated from the rest of civilization, away from the families, friends, ect., have harmed no one!  Meanwhile, the population is being sprayed daily, (likely in an effort to combat global warming), yet there is surely some reason why those in power stifled Congressman Kucinich's attempt in the Space Preservation Act to bring this matter to public attention.  For further verification of the above counter view of what's generally accepted to be happening at this stage of history, in addition to looking up in the sky and witnessing this spraying phenomenon for oneself, one can also do a search on Senate Bill 517 and House Bill 2995 or visit, http://majormediabypass.com, for documentation including links, videos and so forth.  So, while Hollywood succeeds to ensure the nation remains fixated on slanted risks of traveling abroad, it'd be nice if enough people finally informed one another about what's going on right here right now, where the media have successfully distorted the population's view of reality. - Dr. Ken Hildebrandt - http://majormediabypass.com

Don't think this is in movies only, these events can happen in brazil and other foreign countries.  I have a friend that went to sao paolo and he and his 7 yr old were held at gun point  and robbed them both.  His son had to give up his psp.

They have pick pocketers in many foreign countries.    You need to do your homework and learn customs and courties of the country you wish to visit.  Burping may be rude in our country but in others it's a gesture of a well cooked meal.  Tipping is apprecieated in the U.S., in Japan it's like saying you can get a better job.  I used to be in the military and have traveled abroad.  Try to know enough language to get around and try not to stand out so much.  When they know you are American, they know you have money.  So the price of that shirt you want to get just doubled from it's original price.  Especially in the Philippines.
Don't travel with flashy jewelry or carry too much cash.  They can take the ring off your finger and you wouldn't even know it.

You can have a great time no matter where you go,as long as you Travel Smart
