The First Child of Sundrip Journals (AOL Hometown hosting)

I think this weekend may be slow due to the special day for fathers that were not ab*sive and mockery for those who were. I'm sure that there are some huge issues going on right now for those who still have to have contact with family members. I am blessed in that I dont have contact with any of them. No cards, no anxiously sitting through meals and precariously moving around the huge pink elephant (the stuff we dont talk about). There are no pictures that we have to force a smile for, no hugs that make me cringe and no looking in the face of an ab*ser and saying, "I love you." All of that, for me, would be the easy part. It would be coming home and feeling the "filth" on my body and ending up in patient for a week. so, I'm here on the holidays and they truly are holidays for me now. They are my own days filled with less stress than if I decided to go see my
family.
