Feeling Happy

The Garden's Breaking My Pocketbook - Oh, Well... Have a Look...

 The Gardener

Anew! Anew! Everday, I say.

Look what's in the garden

And the price I paid.

Home Depot and Target

Sent plastic to me.

I can't stop buying flowers and trees.

Yesterday was Callas, Gladiolas and more

Azaleas and  Hibiscus

All from the store.

New bulbs are planted

and sprouting each day.

My God! There's another coming our way.

I no longer arise to go play golf.

I go to my garden

And then tee off.

Now it's the bird feeders that catch my attention.

Cause I must fill bird feeders

Or seek redemption.

While  garden's fast growing

Hanging baskets are filled

With Marigolds and Salvia,

Soil need not be tilled.

So what else is new, you're likely to ask.

Calas and Caladiums

In sun to bask.

It's a new way of living;

Enjoyable at least.

Soon we'll see brilliant blossoms to feast.
