Rain At Last & Blossoms Too

Gardens Come Alive Again

Two days after the heavy rains the gardens came alive with green and blossoms once again. There has been disappointment but optimism now prevails.

We have twelve timer controlled sprinklers at the gardens. They were not sufficient to combat the torrid heat wave. We lost many rose bushes. Most were not expensive. The more expensive ones seemed to have survived far better.

The gardens need attention because the continued 95 degree weather made it impractical to stay out in the heat. I have much work to do now that the weather is cooler. We have much to look forward to. Late October will give us a very good show.
