Politics, Culture, and Other Wastes of Time

I read a collection of James Kochalka's "American Elf" comic strip last week. In this strip, Kochalka talks about fatherhood, being an artist (and the financial strains that comes with it) and being a husband.

My favorite character in the strip is the family cat Spandy.

I would like to see a follow-up to this strip where James takes his son Eli dunk-hunting, and they run into the world's most famous duck hunter Dick Cheney! But, I don't know if that is a popular sport in Vermont, where the Kochalkas live.

Kochalka is also a musician. His band James Kochalka Superstar performed the theme song ("Hockey Monkey") for the Fox sitcom "The Loop."
