A Long Walk Home

I went for a walk this morning and it was lovely. How could you not its a beautiful autumn morning.. The air was filled with the smell of burning fireplaces and the leaves were slowly falling off the trees. I was wonderful. Charlie Brown had to smell every little leaf that fell and it was kinda cute. He chased some squirrels gathering acorns and I had to scold him for that. The poor guys need food for the winter. The best think I love about Keene is on a sunday morning the town is so quite. I stood in the street with Charlie and it was just dead silence. Except for the geese honking and some birds there wasn't a human sound to be heard. I love that. It was chilly this morning and I wish I had put gloves on but I'll just remember that for tomorrow. I forgot my camera and I wish I didnt' but Tom said he'll bring when he comes home for lunch so thats good. Perhaps I'll take some photos of the leaves. We even have a couple tree's ready for winter, they're bare..Its kinda sad to see the leaves go but It'll be pretty when the spring comes. . Oh how I love autumn..
