Getting to Know Your Own Speech II
Sin/non-creating speech, the very voice of Sheol and Death--all evil--has no ears or eyes to see you as you really are or hear God in you as Word. All the communications between you and God are secret from all else in the universe except for those portions that God shares with all the saints/new creations in Jesus Christ. For God says:
1 Corinthians 2:7-16 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Witchcraft and sorcery are the whole purpose of non-creating speech, Satan and Sheol. It is plain deception to think that some are witches and others not when all of them are in non-creating speech. That they do not know this in no way excuses them or changes the truth. Witchcraft is the attempt to create something or to effect something in this present fallen creation (for the whole creation is fallen, not just man) specifically with speech. No speech--no witchcraft. Sin day in and day out seeks to grow beyond itself as turning into something other than what it is. But it cannot re-create itself at all and only deceives those over whom it has dominion. Yet through fallen man, the creature of sinnever ceases to try. But as it says so well through a popular movie: "..can't ... get ..out..."
There is on-going warfare between the Spirit of God in you and the sin for control over the flesh. It is your flesh as a possession and as lawful ownership as God's present gift to you and is the temple of God--not sin's flesh. Explicitly, sin/non-creating speech, (and Satan) and Sheol are unlawful aggressors against that which does not belong to them--your flesh and soul.
Galatians 5:16-18 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Part of that aggression by the speech of sin is to speak things evilly. Thus we pray that God set a heavy guard over our lip, mouth and tongue so as not to bring blasphemy out of our own flesh or harm toward others. This fight over what comes out of our mouths is ever-present and on-going:
James 3:1-18 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Let us then move on, in understanding what sin is as non-creating speech, not as indulging in it but as repudiating it entirely as evil and wicked and knowing that understanding and the articulation of it through the mouth of the flesh is itself a battle. As well, understand this: sin is more than non-creating speech; non-creating speech is merely one organ of the larger being of sin and evil/Sheol: wickedness.
Recall to mind that you have been begotten in the Word of God by the Word of God and that God as Word and Spirit now lives in you and will Speak through you.
1 John 3:6-12 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
and
1 John 5:18-21 We know that every one begotten of God does not sin, but he that has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and thewhole world lies in the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that is true; and we are in him that is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Children, keep yourselves from idols.
