A MOTHER'S LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS
My mama and Danny
This being Mother's Day, of course Dorris and I made a trip out to the nursing home to see mama.
We found her bent over, intently looking through her small bedside table drawer...The room was dark, but she didn't seem to notice or care....
She was 'busy'... searching for something.
Don't ask me what she was looking for, because I don't know...
She didn't either, when we asked.
We turned the light on in her room and led her back to her recliner, so she could sit down and look at all the cards and gifts we had brought to her.
Mama's short term memory is fading fast....We can tell her something and five minutes later she has forgotten.
It was same way with the gifts.
The conversation went like this.....
"Who gave me this necklace?"...."Dorris did mama."
"Who brought those flowers?"... "We both brought you some mama."
"Who brought me this drink?"..."Carlene did mama."
"Who brought me these hair bows?"..."Dorris did mama."
"Who put the feed in the bird feeder?",..."Carlene did mama."
And so it went....over and over......and over again.
Time after time we patiently answered her questions.....
Time after time, she forgot.
But you know what the first thing was that she said to us, when we went into her room?
" Well, I am so happy to see you both.......
"My first born girl and my baby"
I will always be "her baby"
You see......
A MOTHER'S LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS.
I THANK YOU LORD FOR MY MAMA.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
