MY FIRST ENTRY

Well, this is my first entry...so here goes...

Today I got up and went to work as is usual for me on Fridays.I work three days a week at the BBQ and on these days( thurs.,fri.,sat) I work 11 hours. I love my job( I must, I have been there about 15 years now) and I love my boss..she is a real nice person. The type that helps people out and never toots her own horn about it.

You can always tell when the full moon is coming out, people start acting strange...or stanger than usual. This being the beginning of the full moon phase, strange people showed up to buy BBQ today ! Like the one that gave me her order. She only had a little over $8.00 worth and the whole time she was looking at the menu item prices. Then I ring her up and tell her the price and she nearly does backflips..shouting" I don't want it for that price, that is too high!" The whole time she is walking backwards towards her car, and screaching at the top of her lungs! My goodness, what did she expect us to do? Lower the prices just for her???And did she expect the prices to change from the ones she read on the menu board to begin with? She was so funny...yet so strange! It is the full moon!!!Amanda (my daughter) had another "one" ...she had waited on this lady that only wanted a $1.00 piece of cake and a .50 cent bag of potato chips...well once she got her order, she asked what did she owe? When told that it was $1.50 , she started raising cain...didn't want to pay that!! She had Amanda to put the potato chips back! I mean, how hard is it to add a dollar and fifty cents together??? Both ladies were well dressed and seemed  smart...to begin with...lol .

I have three little monsters in my house! Precious , and Bubba, my little chihuahuas, and Bubbles, a fluffy white pekingese that is my only "grandchild" ... Precious came to me as a Christmas gift this past Christmas. She was bought from a pet store and the price paid for her was way too high ($1000.00). I happened to go to the flea-market about a week later and a woman was selling little Bubba for $100.00. I stopped and picked him up and as soon as I held him I knew he would be mine... (and my husband later told me that as soon as he saw that "look in my eyes" he knew that Bubba would come home with us) you see; I could actually feel his tiny ribs sticking out. Oh how I hated that woman imediately...this baby had been starved almost to death. I would have emptied my bank account just to get him away from that fool.As soon as I bought him, I went straight to the litle cafe there and got a basket of fried chicken strips and a cup of water. The poor baby nearly took my hand off with the first few bites, so starved he was. He finished all the chicken and gulped the water down in a matter of minutes.I was so scared he would get sick. He had ate so much his little belly looked like he would burst wide open. But he didn't, he just snuggled down in the baby blanket I had bought and went to sleep in my arms. There has got to be a hell especially made for people that abuse and neglect little animals.Bubba has his own bed, and his own little toys, which he loves, and he is spoiled rotten. He is very protective over me, although he only weighs 3 pounds!

I got Bubbles when my daughter came home after a divorce. She was married for over four years and could not conceive a child, so she got Bubbles to fill a void in her life. Bubbles is mama to the chihuahuas. She has the most beautiful brown eyes, and is so loving. I tell Amanda that she is my grandchild and I call myself "mawmaw" to her...so she fills a void in my life as well.

We also have 4 Beagles.( Deacon,Fred,Wild Dog and Mobe) And one Chow,( Baby Girl) . And one golden retriever/spitz mix, (Orphan Annie: another one that I rescued from the flea-market about 5 years ago)Oh, and we have 1 rabbit ( Bugs) and a beta (Elvis) . So we sort of have a small petting zoo, except for Elvis...he doesn't like to be petted!

I had started a journal before this one, if any of you happened to have read it and think that you are reading something that  you have read before..it was called The Funny Farm..but I messed up and deleted it, so I just started over !

That's about all for today...God keep you...and Bless you...will write more later......................
