If Leif Garrett had not gotten into drugs, he would have been on the charts right now with people like Kanye West, Mariah Carey and today's artists. He would have still been recording. He had talent when he started out in the late '70s--was on such a roll, and then what? He had more of a rock driven sound. It is very sad to read about this recent story. He needs to get off the drugs and get back to making good rock songs. He needs to have Rob Thomas produce his album--that's one top name that could get some of his shine back.

How very sad! He looks so old in that picture (mug shot). I can remember crying while watching one of his videos from the 80's wishing he were my boyfriend. Where is the innocence that was so apparent in his earlier pictures. Heroin. Tragic.
