Few Were Mightier Than the Penn

We Endorse Spying (on Our IMs Only): Sneak a peek at our watercooler conversation, cut and pasted straight from our IMs, then join in below.

LouderThanaBlog:

Rest in peace, Nice Guy Eddie
LouderThanaBlog:
he died "OUT OF THE F#$*%#$ BLUE!"
IMSwayzeCrazee:
One can only hope his role in 'Footloose' will be a footnote
IMSwayzeCrazee:
to a splendid career

IMSwayzeCrazee:
'Wild Life' is ridiculously underrated
TheCoolerBlog:
he did a unique twist on his brother's own spicolli routine
TheCoolerBlog:
injected it with a bit of melancholy
TheCoolerBlog:
he was great in true romance too... him and sizemore were the kinda crooked FBI agents, right?
IPingThere4IAM: OHHH I forgot about at close range. Oh that's the best. I was thinking True Romance, which I know he's not in that much but I think of him in it.

Pay Your Respects: What's your fondest movie memory of Chris Penn? Flipping out in 'Reservoir Dogs'? Doing a jig in 'Footloose'? You tell us.

CHRIS PENN WAS A VERY GOOD ACTOR.
I SAW HIM JUST RECENTLY IN "ALL THE RIGHT MOVES" WITH TOM CRUISE FROM 1983 (ONE OF THE CRUISER'S BEST FILMS, IN MY EXPERIENCED OPINION), AND HE WAS EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS HIS BROTHER SEAN .
I WISH HIS FAMILY THE BEST, AND HOPE THAT IF ANYONE CLOSE TO HIM HAPPENS TO LOOK AT THESE POSTINGS, THAT THEY'LL IGNORE THE GARBAGE SOME LOSERS HAVE PUT HERE.
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU CHRIS.

Thanks for taking the time to add your comment "captain".  Not worth your time to type or mine to read!  Chris Penn was a great actor that ran with the fast crowd and eventually couldn't keep up.  Addiction is a hard game to quit playing - may others take a lesson away from this sad occasion... another who died too young.  He was another Spicolli in cowboy boots!  Rock On!
