TheCoolerBlog: It's official....the BROKEBACK Backlash has begun Witherspoon, 'Crash' Win Big at SAG Awards
DishUpontheStars: No way it will dominate Oscars when it can't even score a SAG!
give me a break...it will still win best picture
BlogRockinBeats: I don't know....too many people know it as "the gay cowboy movie".... they aren't talking about what a great film it actually is
TheCoolerBlog: I have no idea who you are talking to... everyone I know who's seen it, loves it
DishUpontheStars: that's because you live in New York, and everyone there is supposed to love it, or there's something wrong with you
BlogRockinBeats: I'm sorry that you live in a town that doesn't have brokeback showing within a 40 mile radius
Time to Come Clean: Do you feel Brokeback's Oscar momentum slipping away?

Give me a break! If this movie was about two middle aged and overweight truck drivers turning grey and loosing hair, 75% of all the positive comments would be reading, "How discusting" instead. This movie was just to appease the Hollywood gay elite and to suck a dollar away from them. Crap like this is part of what is going to continue to make this a "Brokeback" country. One of these days we will read that gay parents are up in arms because their children are announcing, "Dad and dad, I want to be straight when I grow up." "You what? I thought we raised you better than that? You should...blah.....blah.......
.blah." -
Ay least they left the sheep alone, unlike most sheepers.

I want to see Brokeback Mountain 2, starring Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johanson!

I didn't see the movie at the movie theater...I have Netflix, and I got it on the first available day. I watched it with my husband. He didn't seem too uncomfortable with it, but was blown away that it was a true "love story". I have talked to my girlfriends, and we think it was awesome! Any woman loves a movie with two hot guys in it, whether they're gay or straight. I was totally caught up in the torment and angst that the characters were feeling...wanting to live their lives together, but torn and afraid of the public scrutiny...(it was the '60's after all). I loved it and rated it with Netflix with 5 stars. Obviously it didn't win for Best Picture...and if you haven't seen Crash, rent it...it's a 5 star movie also!
