Unleash the Dog!
OlYellaCerebella: I am just sick over this Dog the Bounty Hunter arrest.
DishUpontheStars: If Dog's in jail, everybody loses.
OlYellaCerebella: The way I see it, Dog and the Crocodile Hunter are basically parallel figures; one hunts bond skippers in Hawaii on A&E, and the other hunted crocs in Austrailia on Animal Planet.
DishUpontheStars: Yeah. Similar concept.
OlYellaCerebella: Both hunt only to help: Dog in the spirit of helping wayward criminals to see the error of their ways and reform their lives, Irwin to teach the world how awesome animals are so that the world will support the conservation effort.
DishUpontheStars: Kindred spirits.
OlYellaCerebella: We should honor Steve Irwin's memory by honoring Dog. NOT BY SHIPPING HIM OFF TO A MEXICAN PRISON.

DishUpontheStars: What was his crime?
OlYellaCerebella: Apprehending a criminal who RAPED THREE WOMEN. And failing to follow due process or something in the process of bringing him back to the United States.
DishUpontheStars: That's absurd! What does due process have to do with the Dog? Dog, and Leland, and Beth...they're about what is right and wrong, good and evil...not about extradition policies.
OlYellaCerebella: If anyone is above the law, it is Dog Chapman.

it really ticks me off that the us government would even give a second thought at aresting these 3 do gooders. my god what has this world come too! mexico should never be considered a SAFE HAVEN by any fugitive! these guys went after that scumbag luster and got him when noone else was willing too (at their own expense) MIGHT I ADD. FOR THIS THEY SHOULD BE PRAISED AND THANKED NOT LOCKED UP!!!!!! GOD BLESS ALL THE CHAPMANS FOR TRYING TO MAKE AMERICA A SAFER PLACE TO RESIDE IN !!!!!!!!

There are two ways you can look at this.
(1) As someone who worked in Juvenile Justice System for 6+ years, I know that the law should apply to all (no matter, race creed, religion). Yes, Dog broke the "law" in Mexico; yes Dog missed a court date. I have seen "good kids" break the law and recieve justice.
(2) As a Patriotic American (with 6 years in the Armed Forces) I also see the total injustice being done to Dog. As mentioned before, he broke the laws in Mexico; so why did he get arrested by AMERICAN Federal Marshalls? Are we, as a nation, now at the point where we will do anything to not offend someone else, even compromise our own morals and standards? We are geting farther and father away from the ideals that our country was founded on. At what point did we start caring more for the criminal than for the law-abiding citizen? Americans, CHRISTIANS, take a stand, NOW!!! If DOG gets extradited then SATAN will win, EVIL will triumph. How does EVIL win "only when GOOD people do NOTHING!!!!"

Right On RexPop! Please see the letter to the Sec Of State, Condoleezza Rice, from Thomas Tancredo-House of Rep/Colorado which details the arrest of Duane Chapman and the charge of "deprivation of freedom" a minor offense. There was a separate charge of "conspiracy" which was dismissed by Judge Pineda in Mexico. Why would the State Department move forward with an extradition request when the only extraditable charge-conspiracy-was dismissed? It should be clear to everyone that this charge could be eliminated in any number of ways. Outright dismissal or fix "punishment" as time served as examples. Mexico knows jailing the Chapman's would be bad for business. Let's keep up the pressure-write to your congressmen-complain loudly. Also, keep saying your prayers. Karen

I forgot to say.... A&E ... You should be providing the best lawyers that money can buy ... I bet "DOG" has earned you millions of dollars in advertising money ...Please do the right thing and help protect them....If they do have to go back to Mexico you would be losing a huge amount of money....
