GirlGoneLeBron: Jennifer Hudson needs to stop talking.
GirlGoneGrady: So let’s tell her so!
Dear Jennifer Hudson,
Now you’re comparing your experience on Idol with working at Burger King? Honey, I don’t think Burger King helped you gain the role of Effie, which earned you an Oscar and countless other awards, not to mention a record deal. Is your head already so big that you can’t understand that American Idol opened the door for you? We’re sick and tired of your complaints and denial of Idol’s function in your career. It’s beyond annoying. Extra proved that Simon praised you during your time on Idol, so you can stop complaining about that. Furthermore, let us remind you, before your head explodes from all the arrogance, that Effie White is a part that screams “Give me an Oscar!” It wasn’t an incredibly nuanced role for which you had to dig deep to display subtle emotions. No, you played the woman scorned. That’s pretty easy, since you were one when AMERICA voted you off Idol.
Honestly, we did like you. We were rooting for you after we saw Dreamgirls. But then we realized how egotistical you’ve become. You had one good part, let’s see ifyou can do itagain. If in fact you do become the next Meryl Streep, we’ll take back everything we’ve said. Until then, we’re just going to leave you with a few names: Tatum O’Neal, Mira Sorvino, Anna Paquin, Mercedes Ruehl and Brenda Fricker. Don’t know who they are? Well, they’ve all won the best supporting actress Oscar too.
Love,
The Girls

I think that there are too many people trying to destroy those that are acheiving more than them. Jennifer Hudson earned an Oscar. It was not American Idol that offered her course on acting so that she could win an Oscar. So, why should she be grateful to AI. Why should she be grateful for the negative comments that Simon said?
The only person she should be grateful to the man upstairs. God. Have we forgotten him? God allowed her to acheive her goals. God gave her the talent. God showed Jennifer that he will open the door of opportunities for her. God showed Jennifer that when someone knocks you down, get back up. Just like he does for all of us. We just need to pay attention to Him.
If she was a weak person, she would have let Simon's comments destroy her. She would have allowed Simon to destroy her dreams. But she choose not to. She choose to grab hold of an opportunity with both hands.
I applaud her for being able to follow her dreams, regardless of what mean spirited people say.
I feel like Simon wants Jennifer to thank him for her God giving talents. That is so crazy. He is so sucessful and he is worried that Jennider is not grateful enough.
By the way, "America" did not vote her off. "America" does not watch AI all the time. I stopped watching AI, when I realized that non talent people can make it to the top 3.From what I hearing on the news, it sounds like it is happening again.
To all those people who think Jennifer needs to grateful, get a life. That is a problem with some people. They want to worry about the small things that they can not change. -
I think Burger King fits someone of her intelligence.

I would have to agree with skiraburrowes83. I'm not a huge fan of Jennifer Hudson's personality, but why is she being so "hated" on? I have read that Kelly Clarkson gives no credit to AI and has even requested that the fact that she was an AI winner not be mentioned in interviews. It would seem that Clarkson would give them some credit, since she won AI. Hudson doesn't owe AI anything. She was voted off! We remember her because she can sing. How many other singers that came in 4th or lower do you remember? As an African American, I'm offended because it seems like after all of this time, we are still held to different standards. When Underwood won on the grammy's she never mentioned AI either, and I don't see anyone "Putting her in her place" or Clarkson for that matter! Underwood has a beautiful voice. I think Clarkson has been lucky.

Why does the first thing everyone does is pull the race card? Where oh where is Ruben (I thought he was great) yet, you don't hear a word about him except the fact that Simon went to see him about his weight and health.
But Clay, second runner up has records all over the place. Did I like Jennifer, sure did, till she opened her mouth other than to sing because now she sounds like an idiot and if not for AI she would still be flippin' burgers. Get a grip, the girl has talent but doesn't know how to handle it, which may be her demise on the entertainment scene. Someone made a comment regarding her head being too big or getting larger and I couldn't agree more.
She's beautiful & talented but other than that she should as I said just keep her mouth shut. She made comment regarding Simon and how he more or less disliked every one of her performances which if you watch the tapes~you will see that to be a lie. So I have no idea what she is trying to prove by making those comments, except sounding foolish. Just my 2 cent worth.
