GirlGoneLeBron: People are worried that Chris Sligh is straying from his Christian roots.
GirlGoneGrady: Umm ok …
GirlGoneLeBron: A spokesman for Bob Jones University, where Chris Sligh attended school, says in a statement, “We really are somewhat disappointed with the direction he has gone musically.”
GirlGoneGrady: What? Do these people even understand American Idol?
GirlGoneLeBron: Yeah. I’m not so sure they do. They are mad he’s not choosing more Christian rock songs, which inthe beginning was all he did.
GirlGoneGrady: Let’s explain how Idol works.
GirlGoneLeBron: Good Idea. Once the top twelve are decided, they start having theme weeks, like last Tuesday, where it was the Diana Ross songbook.
GirlGoneGrady: Essentially, he has no choice. He has to sing something that Diana Ross had already done. That’s why they call them theme weeks. There is a theme!
GirlGoneLeBron: Exactly.
GirlGoneGrady: And I’m not sure that, with all due respect toward her, Diana Ross is really known for her Christian music.

Chris Sligh sang Endless Love during last week's Diana Ross showcase.

I really hate this show so much! It really blows chunks!! i WOULD MUCH RATHER WATCH SURVIVOR WHICH COMES ON THE SAME TIME AS THIS DRECK. American Idol is a pox on humanity!!!

I have been an avid Idol viewe since the very first season, but to me this whole Sanjaya thing has made a mokery out of the show, the contestants and all of the viewers. Each time he stays one of the other talented contestants has gotten the boot!I am not a talent agent nor am I a singer but, as a teacher, I do think I can tell the difference between a school talent show and a show of talent. If it's true that the entire country of India is voting for Sanjaya because he's cute and from India then I guess the other contestants won't have a prayer and he WILL be the next American Idol. Unless the judge's votes can somehow be tabulated with the so called American votes, as on some other shows, than I'd like to say congratulations to Sanjaya... and I guess I'll just have to look forward to watching Dancing With The Stars, The Apprentice and The Bachelor.
I know the population of viewers living in the US don't compare with the population of those living in India, therefore we can't control the outcome of the show, but we certainly can control the ratings!

All I know is that Sanjaya has no business even being in the top twelve! The fact that real talent has been eliminated while he continiues to move on makes me think that American Idol is no longer what it was intended to be. I understand that he's become some kind of "teen idol" - but if every 13-year-old with a cell phone is what makes up "America's choice" for talent - then I am done with my idol-watching days. And I hope that Simon meant what he said when he said he'd be leaving as a judge for Idol if Sanjaya ends up winning. The whole thing has become ridiculous in my opinion...

If Sanjaya doesn't make the bottom three, there will be MORE outrage from the haters. He's just not in the same league as the other singers that are left. If he gives another weak performance, it's going to be over and the voters will shift to the other singers. He can't take any more of this criticism. I know he's trying to avoid it, but he's going to have to face it one way or another.
