I think Sanjaya should have taken the KFC deal! At least when his 15 seconds of fame is over - he can hold all the family reunions..."Fried Chicken for everybody"

American Idol is on TV because it's the #1 show in every time slot that it airs in. Last weds night it was #1 with over 26 million viewers, that's more that Howard stern. Sanyjia is doing better and growing as a singer, but I agree that many people have been given the boot that had more talent. It comes down to the fact that having the best vocals is not what makes you a star (i.e. Britney Spears ). I am sure that a recoed lable could make any of the last 10 a star.

Honestly; I felt before Sanjaya; Haley should've been off, also before Sundance Head, Chris Sligh and Stephanie Edwards, Haley should've been off. Sanjaya; I do feel for, it's not his fault that he has a huge fan group and that Howard Stern needed to put a negative spin on a good, wholesome, family show, causing Sanjaya, a humble, respectful, entertaining young man, whom does take the crude criticisms of the judges for a 17 year old, with great maturity. Sadly, he and his family must be feeling the stress of this conflict.
What I do feel, Melinda Doolittle, is out of her league on this show, and should be now given a contract and allow the others a fair chance at the title. LaKisha should be off, she's not appealing and is preying on the sympathies of viewers, as she repeats she's a single mom, well, having a child isn't like having a terminal disease, it's a choice, that you had and have to work to support. Plus, she's not as entertaining or strong as the others.
Phil, has a strong and good voice, but not appealing to the audience, this is my opinion.
Jordin, should win, as she has the personality, sound and stage presence to represent the title.
Blake Edwards, does appeal to all generations and is very unique and entertaining, should also be awarded the title.
Chris Richardson, should be given the chance to be runner up.
Sanjaya should stay as long as his fans allow, and that the judges will as well.
Don't forget, it's the judge's choice whom they want from this job interview to be on their labels.
Season 1= Kelly Clarkson, viewer's choice
Season 2= Ruben Studdard, Paula's choice
Season 3= Fantasia Barrino, Randy's choice
Season 4= Carrie Underwood, Simon's choice
Season 5= Tyler Hicks, viewer's choice
Season 6= will be judge's choice.

Sanjaya is a terrible singer...If he had any common sense, he would know that he is ruining the show. He should talk to the producers and volunteer to be kicked off the show...he could still tour with the group this summer and maybe still get a contract with some record company.

I really ,really hate this show so much!! Why is it even on tv????Howard Stern is right ,it sucks big time!!!
