An Open Letter to Melinda Doolittle
GirlGoneLeBron: Oh Melinda, how unfortunate is your behavior?
GirlGoneGrady: More like how exasperating, she's basically flushing her chances to win American Idol down the toilet.
Dear Melinda,
Repeat after us, confidence is sexy. Awkward humbleness, however, is not. In fact, it’s incredibly annoying. If you’re going to win Idol, you have to own your talent – not act like it doesn’t exist. And that fact, sweet Melinda, is lost on you. Your aw-shucks, gee-golly-whiz attitude has got to go. As it stands right now, you’re flirting with losing your deserved Idol crown to, at best, Jordin or, at worst, Sanjaya. And no one wants the kid with the inappropriate facial hair to win. So step up your game or we’ll have you to blame for hearing his talentless screeching on the radio.
Seriously, you can sing. You know this. It’s time you start acting like it.

I don't know there were people like that punk rocker who were the polar opposite. That really made me not like her. Some part of me wants to see people successful but at least care about others too. I remember from the auditions where that punk rocker was like screw everybody, its all about me. Sorry very unappealing. At least Katherine last season covered it up well on last seasons idol. She was reported to be very arrogant but hid it fairly well. Melinda just needs to work the stage and be herself. If she changed she might lose people like myself who appreciate she is a nice person. We would see right through it.

I think the "aw shucks, golly gee" bit is an act. She better lose it before it takes her down.

you would write a dumb letter complaining about her arrogance.
american idol is about talent. not about how you act in front of the cameras.
