The Onion | Drug Testing the Kids

Every day, The Onion hits the streets and asks people to weigh-in on the most pressing issues facing the country. We'll be serving it up to you every day, so keep coming back.

Drug Tested On Children

A recently uncovered study revealed that pharmaceutical giant Pfizer tested an unapproved meningitis drug on children in Nigeria without their knowledge. What do you think?

"Are you happy now, PETA?"

I think it is stupid and they shouldnt test anything on any people. There is a way to do the testing with out using humans or animals either!!
Like the drug premenan, to make this drug they use the urine from pregnant horses then when the babies are born they are sent to slaughter houses and  the meat is sold for human consumption to other countries!   NOW THAT IS CRAZY THAT A DRUG COMPANY IS SO DRIVEN TO MAKE MONEY THAT THEY WOULD KILL TO DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thinkit is sad that a country who has so many children starving would worry about spending government money to give them this drug.   On the other hand, they should be able to make a choice about taking the drug as well.  I wouldn't want them to give it to my child without my knowledge.

I think this is sickening.  These poor people in Nigeria should not be used as animals.  They are humans too with the same rights to information like the rest of us.  Someone should inform them and  then they should make the choice if they want to participate. It is not a drug companies job to decide for them.  This is outrageous and just another thing to make American's look like A-holes.

Anyone ever read the history of the Salk vaccine? Who'd he test that on? Was it better to get polio or side effects from a vaccine?

PETA became a nut organization when it claimed fish scream.  Fish are food and have been since time immemorial, and they even want to shut down California power plants for using sea water for cooling because they stupidly believe fish scream: turn off the lights of the model runways because there is no power for their starving skinny butts or for anyone else including all of those illegal immigrants wanting to be foreign with free stuff--this is classic psychology transference is some cases, because they starve themselves does not give them the right to transfer that trait to anyone else.  My challenge to PETA is no meat, no fish, no fowl, and no poultry products for life so the rest of use can watch what biology does to us.

Mix the message or polarize the issue without righteousness you lose also.
