Info Junkie | Keith Donohue Conquers the Internet

There internetweb is far too vast and complicated for us to cover it entirely (though we do manage to check out 97%). So, from time to time we ask very smart and talented people to help us. This week, author Keith Donohue, has agreed -- under threats of violence -- to give us a hand. Keith is the author of an amazing new novel, The Stolen Child. So, after checking out his suggested reading, we suggest you check out his novel (which is already getting great reviews and climbing up the Amazon sales list).

Here are a few links from Keith today. Enjoy:

Intelligent Flash Game Design: Samorost and Samorost 2 cost me an entire chapter in my new book... Link

-
Turns out having an imaginary friend allows you to have a "rich fantasy life" with a perfect playmate, until that friend turns nasty... Link

-
The Top Ten Modern Fairy Tales -- no mention of "Mission Accomplished" on an aircraft carrier... Link

There you have it. Go check out Amazon where they have recruited their top reviewers to post their thoughts on the novel. They think it's delicious.

Fairy Tales do tell something about ourselves.  Just like the Christian Fairy Tale that dancing leads to sin, so no dancing allowed until you are a legal adult presumably of 21 years of age or older, because you might get excited outside of marriage (wait, that was my High School and my experience in the Bible Belt, and the Devil can be heard when playing records backwards): there can be a grain of truth in Fairy Tales, but it does tell something about us.  And some people wonder why the United States is getting ready to have an empire?  That pent up sexual aggression gets translated somewhere--hmmm, lots of combat to death video games and sexuality openly rejected overall (go on patrol, play your combat game, go on patrol again, and saw this in a news interview); and one of the first United States engineering diplomas was military engineering for the art and science of engineering, science, suppression, oppression, control, ego suppression (your training), sexual suppression in military service (they actually tell you this, it is a felony to have normal sex--so learn to hide it), and death (wait!...much not said): well, we win, no pleasure allowed, and they died, have a parade for our victories as we alienate each other's egos in public and dominate the world, classic psychology.  Fairy Tales of America is that monster of the id seeking pleasure in the world because we cannot get it here.

The day that we have an honest politician who refuses to steal from the public or to retire on four or six years of service at the tax payers expense, is the day when Jesus Christ returns to establish His kingdom.

your comments about a failed army is disgusting'the writer of this article is ignorant.read your history instead of posting your bias comments on here.the army of nortnern virginia was the finest fighting force ever to take the field.sure you would like to see the hunley go away.we have black history month but we cannot play dixie.when does this bias crap stop.Does it continue until all confederate momunents are destroyed at our courthouses and our graveyards destroyed.Never last week my 10 year old son stood at attention saluting a confederate grave.Keep writting you ignorant bias articles. wish all you want but we will never forget those men who for 4 years defended there homes mostly without pay for years at a time and only were defeated by hunger. the victor always writes history
