NewsFight! | Gibson vs. Couric

The "Who'd Win in a Fight?" game is a timeless time-waster. We like wasting time, but with a point. And so: NewsFight! We'll pick two candidates from a batch of daily newsmakers and pit them against one another and ask you, Feed readers, to answer: Who'd Win in a Fight? (Is that raising the level of discourse or what?) And so:

Today, ABC announced that Charles Gibson will be assuming the anchor chair for World News Tonight. That puts him up against that little-know piece of sunshine that greets millions of viewers every morning. So, this NewsFight is more of a preview. Who's going to win the ratings battle?
Ding, ding, ding!

I love Charlie. He does have class. I will miss him on Good Morning
America.  I can't stand Katie Couric. She doesn't even talk nice to
her guests. She giggles like a little girl. Wears too much eye makeup
holds her chin down and her eye up rolling in the back of her head!
    THE BEST TO YOU CHARLIE!!

Katie was the reason I tuned into Today.  Today allowed her to be serious and interview important people at the 7 o'clock hour but also allowed her to express her humor and personality for the next two hours. She is an able journalist and I wish her well on CBS.  I normally watch ABC ( most unbiased network news I think) & miss Peter Jennings.  However, I'll watch Katie when she comes on and give her a chance.

Charles Gibson should have been added to the nightly news spot as soon as it was announced that Peter Jennings was ill.  Over the years, ABC has moved Charles and Diane Sawyer wherever they needed help in the ratings.  Mr Gibson can be humorous but he has a way of delivering the news that's comforting and believeable.  Katie doesn't seem to be as professional......even when giving the news on The Today Show she acts silly sometimes.

Good bye Katie. I'l always remember you by your colonoscopy because you're such an asshole! Take your annoying, giddy laugh and plastic smile and put them in the same place as your colonoscopy too!
