Could You Say No To This Face? Those Shoulders?
(Family photo)
"A five-year-old girl's passport application was rejected because her photograph showed her bare shoulders.
Hannah Edwards's mother, Jane, was told that the exposed skin might be considered offensive in a Muslim country.
The photograph was taken at a photo-booth at a local post office for a family trip to the south of France.
Because of the way the camera was set up, the picture came out showing Hannah's shoulders."
We know offensive... just look at this blog. Sensitivity to other cultures is wonderful. Is this too much? Read the rest of the storythefeedblog at 12:54:00 PM EDT Blog about this entry

the majority of them aren't trying to blow us up o.0. television and news broadcasts set us up to believe that. the majority are not seen, because the U.S votes violence. at the same time in Muslim countries (learn to spell people. it's Muslim, with an "i" and capitalized. unless you're so offended that you'll refuse to spell correctly -.-') are probably watching American brutality too. things shown on the internet and television are usually to catch the eye of an average person. if they showed the millions of Muslims in their houses smiling and folding laundry, and having fun, they’d lose money. you can’t put the blame on all the Muslims. anyway, this whole thing is ridiculous because it doesn’t say that it’s because of the Muslims in the article. the blog author has no proof to show us that it’s because of the Muslims.

Does that mean when the Muslim adults wash their babies, they feel offended?
What a stupid idea. I mean it's only shoulders, every people has them and what so offensive about them in the first place, they are just bones and muscles with a head in the middle... for god'ssake
They dont wash their babies... for if anyone saw the naked baby they would have to murder it in the "loving god" of allah -
its not stupidity. it's tunnelvision. other cultures can get so caught up in one way of thinking. granted i have much respect for anyone who has that much dedication to one particular way of thinking, but perhaps an understanding that people think differently than you do should be put forth in these people's faces. i personally find it offensive that that little cute baby's shoulders are seen as an insult. go fuck yourselves. we embrace individuality, and we embrace modes of thinking outside of our own. i hate tunnelvision.
