These people are feeling the loss of 4 family members from their lives! Close YOUR eyes for 30 seconds and imagine four people dead from your family. Now close your eyes for at least another 30 seconds, and, hopefully, much longer and pray for these that are grieving their families.
And shame on you who are commenting on cell phones, so called "bling", and anything else that is not a part of this. This is grief and loss and the horror Katrina brought to thousands of people. Where is your heart -
Ms. Wegrer's "bling" is bland in comparison to the loss she must feel. This is NOT the grabbing point for this photo. The magnitude of her loss escapes me thank God and my heart goes out to her.
It is well known that President Bush "quietly" backs a plan that includes returning low lying areas to wetlands while building homes and industry elsewhere. The drive by media prefers to see his wisdom and failure to knee-jerk money into poor planning as ignoring the poor. In response, our nation should stand behind President Bush and encourage a more rational look at supplementing this doomed city. Concern for the retaining wall systems has eluded many past presidents and an inept Army Corps of Engineers. We can and should do better. -
Is it just me, or do all the "poor" from Louisiana have so much bling, I pods, cell phones etc? They always look very well dressed and adorned.
