We've unearthed a major discovery: a mainstream media outlet, that typically wears their liberalism on their sleeve, published a complimentary article about Bush. Oh, right, it's slate... and we know all about their contrarian ways...
It "fell far short" (Washington Post editorial) and offers only "marginal" gains (New York Times editorial) and is "nonsense" (Charles Krauthammer) and "isn't much" (Thomas Friedman). All these are descriptions of the energy policy proposal in George W. Bush's State of the Union address last week. They don't match the plan itself.

Dear tdiamante,
Perhaps your comment (/harsh, vindictive rant) would have been more compelling had it actually been pertinent to the aforementioned article.
It is my sincerest wish that whatever pagan diety you worship smites you for amusement.
Love, Stuart
P.S. I'm with you, Phyllis -
The President is not in touch with reality.
He has been a failure his entire life and continues to be a failure now.
The major difference of course is that now his imaturity and lack of flexabilty
has caused more deaths to Americans than 9/11
The vast majority of the nation would not believe a word this man says if his tongue came notorized.
The sooner this mistake in American judgement is out of office the sooner we can begin to heal as a nation and start taking care of American needs and not the personal needs of this administration. -
I agree with an AOL article that the President's speech was excellent. As for the negative press, who knows. Maybe they are just plain jealous of this wonderfully strong man whom I admire tremendously. Take my word for it, the president is always one step of them.
