A worker gives sorted gerberas a final inspection in a packing-house February 5, 2007 at Ein Vered in central Israel. Within 24 hours of being picked, these flowers will be sorted by color, size and quality, hand-packed and then air-freighted to the flower exchanges of Europe. The Israeli Flower Growers Association announced that 100 million flowers will be delivered to Europe for Valentine’s Day via an air train of cargo jets.
