In life, there are winners and losers. A new Coke ad celebrating black history month shows the soft drink being present during important events in the Civil Rights Movement. But... some other soft drink -- the loser in this case -- had to be around some horrible episodes in our country's history. Watch Mo's video to see the unlucky fizzy drink.

They need to get their facts straight...not everyone on the Hindenburg died.

Before reading PART TWO, read my comment directly beneath it. It should have had been tagged PART ONE. Anyway, it will make this comment make a bit more sense. You know, Part One and then....Part Two. Thanks and forgive my verbosity, just can't help going on...and on...and on.

PART TWO....Continued
Yes, those days of academic excellence that taxed our wits with more homework than we could hack. Coke was there. It kept us alert...and belileve it or not, it made us articulate too. We were specifically articulate on Friday nights. Coke was there. And that first date at the drive-in movie when Sally screamed when she saw the monster...! Coca Cola calmed us both. Fresca? Where in the hell was Fresca and who really gave a rat's ass? It was, for all I know, still a bubble in its daddy's bottle. And who was its daddy--Pepsi? Let me put it this way, Fresca folks, if it was around when all that s _ _ t happened, the last thing anybody wanted to remember was the silly ass soft drink they were sippin' on--get real! And further more, get that negative BS off the air--soft drinks supposed to make you feel good not guilty or pissed off at the cops and whitey. So, I guess I am the dummy after all--who's the boogy man that put that Fresca bottle in there to mess up my mind? NOW I AM MAD. It's another corporate ad conspiracy.....Now, there's another theory that just came to mind: maybe it was neither Coke or Pepsi, but a third party drink, comin' round, stirrin' up all this stuff. Wow, ain't that just like politicians, come to think of it. -
Cheers for Coca Cola. No matter what tag we might be wearing, most of us can recall some positive episodes when Coke was present. Who among us didn't light up a King Edward cigar when we had our first Coke? Or maybe it's...whom among us didn't have a Coke when we lit up our first White Owl? We turned sixteen. Didn't we have a blast driving by the high school blowing smoke out the windows (unless we were fortunate enough to have borrowed a convertible) and taking a long, loving swig of Coke from the hour-glass bottle as we waved at Gayle and Judy in those pleated kind of short cheerleader skirts and tight sweaters with the big letter T. We were all letter men of some sort--it could have been a T or an A, but one thing is for sure, Coca Cola was right there with us, standing tall and proud. PART TWO BELOW
