Welcome to The AOL Radio Product Blog! My name is T.C. and on this blog, I'll be bringing you up to speed about what's going on in the world of AOL Radio. AOL Radio has been around in some form or another for many years (anybody remember our '90s predecessor, the original Spinner Radio?) and as technology and the industry rapidly evolve, so do we. We're constantly adding new features and expanding the way you listen to our service so what better way to let you guys know what's going on than our very own blog?
Some of the things we'll talk about on this blog are:
- Latest Product Launches and Features - We'll bring you up to speed on the latest and greatest offerings available in the AOL Radio universe. Whether you're an avid user of AOL 9.0, AIM, WinAmp or even XBOX 360, we'll show you how you can listen to one of our 200+ stations to best suit your online habits.
- Radio Troubleshooting - Having trouble loading AOL Radio? We'll address some of the most common questions sent to our RadioComments@aol.com inbox, as well as any announcements and status updates that we know about.
- Industry Insights/News - As I mentioned earlier, the online streaming music universe is rapidly changing around us through technology and social habits. We'll post news bits about things that are related to our product but we'd also like to get to know your thoughts on not only our own service, but your favorite things about streaming music and surfing in general. This is a forum for you to provide your own voice from the consumer perspective and our ears will always be open.
- AOL Radio Features & Tips/Tricks - How can I hook up AOL Radio on my stereo? How can I bookmark my favorite stations? What are song ratings and how do they affect what is played on the station? We'll be mentioning things that you may not know about to make your listening experience more enjoyable.
- Programming Updates - We'll also keep you up-to-date about any major station launches and things to listen for that we think you'll enjoy. With over 200 stations covering a wide range of genres, you never know what will pop up next.
So I hope you Radio fans will find this blog fun and informative in the coming weeks. If you have any suggestions as to what you'd like to read in our blog, you can e-mail me directly at TCinRadioNYC@aol.com.
And as always, keep sending your suggestions and comments to RadioComments@aol.com.
Until later,
~ T.C.
