"Operation Restore Hope"
Involved the 75th Army Rangers, Delta Force, and the 10th Mountain Division, and The Nightstalkers Blackhawk Helicopter Unit.
On October 3rd, The Rangers and Delta Force Team came under heavy ambush in the
Bakara Market Area of Mogadishu, Somalia, Africa while on a mission to capture, the Warlord
Muhammed Farah Adid or some of his top Lieutenants.
The very people we were sent to save from becoming extinct due to starvation and disease
a weapon that was being used against them by Warlord Muhammed Farah Adid, these people
we were there to feed, help and save from death, turned on us in the blink of an eye on October
3rd, 1993 and in an ambush in the aid of the Warlord that was starving them to death, and murdering them in the streets, these people blocked off the city after we went in, in a days battle
the bloodiest battle since the Vietnam War, they successfully killed 19 American, Rangers, Delta and Two members of the American 10th Mountain Division, and wounded another 78 American
servicemen in the battle.
The Month Of October Passes The 14th Anniversary Of This Brutal Attack.
These Are Your Heroes, They Were Brave Men, And They Did Not Die Easy, Nor Did
They Go Silently Into The Night.

May God Forever Bless These Young Souls Who For A Moment Were Angels On Earth Defending
The Needie, Until The Needie Ripped Their Wings Away.

It makes me very sad to think we live in a world where helping can get you killed. I guess I am just naive because I have always felt where there is compassion there is love and where there is love there is hope......

You have done yet another awesome job Jeff! Your work is always so heart felt. Your a very talented man and God is using your talents to touch lives!

A wonderful tribute to some very brave young men. Let's never forget them and their sacrifice for our freedom. Jeannette.
