This is not an issue I would normally waste my time writing about, because in the past I have never truly bought into it, I more or less just listened with one ear and then let it dissipate out of the other ear into the so called unstable ozone layer.
It is no secret or news to anyone, that gasoline prices per gallon in America have now gone through the roof, the situation is out of control and causing a plague like case of poverty across the land with the average working class American family.
And why does it have to be this way here in America? Does it have to be this way at all even? Absolutely not! We are sitting on enough oil in our own soil that could supply us for generations at prices that would not have to financially break us.
With that known, I hear many people ask the question; "Why do we not pump that oil then and refine it into gasoline?" There is an answer to that question we will get to in a few moments.
I also hear questions and comments made to the affect that President Bush is to blame for gas prices, because he could do something to the oil company executives and force the gas prices to come down. Well that statement could not be farther from the truth. There is nothing whatsoever a president can do about the price of gasoline or the prices charged for anything else.
In this country we have freedom, freedom in everything we choose to do, including free trade. It is the store owner that decides the price he or she will charge customers for a product they sell. The government cannot come in and say, "You will charge not more than 1 dollar for this 5 pound bag of sugar." It doesn't work that way and you do not want it to work that way. For if it did, the government could walk into your store and check the prices of every item you carry and cut them down by any amount they chose, you would not like that very much would you? Certainly not, no one would.
The problem with American oil being drilled and then refined into American gasoline, lies not with the president, instead it lies with the enviromentalist groups and organizations that pad the pockets of Congressmen and women. They lobby each member of Congress for their support and they get it by illegal means, with monetary donations and other ways.
So with that practice taking place, the benefitting Congressmen and women, vote yes, on bills that benefit the cause and ideals of these enviromentalist, in other words and truth, the votes in congress were bought.
We have millions of barrells of oil in the state of Alaska right now that could obliterate the prices of gasoline right now, but, we're not allowed to go in and get that oil by majority vote of congress (bought and paid for by enviromentalists) because they say it could damage the enviroment in Alaska and cause ice packs to melt. Not to mention maybe make a few seals and sea lions sick.
It is clearly evident that Congress is out of control and they have their priorities completely screwed up and it is costing the citizens dearly. A block of ice, a seal's and polar bear's health, is apparently more important than the struggles that American Citizens (Human Beings) are having to deal with daily.
Gasoline is now topping $4.00 a gallon, think about that, then think about the poor American's that are working for minimum wage or just over, consider the fact that they live 10 20 30 miles from their job one way, and further in many and most rural cases. They drive cars that get an average of 20 miles per gallon. These people for God's sake are barely breaking even on payday after taking the cost of just getting to work out of their paychecks. And within two weeks, and gasoline prices continuing to rise. These people will no longer break even on payday, instead they will be going in the hole to work at their jobs. It is then that they will have no choice but to quit and stay at home and try to get by as best as they can, because no one is going to go to work for no pay.
What's worse, is the families they have at home, an average of three children, all of which need food 3 times a day, clothes to wear, shoes on their feet. And it cannot be done with gas prices the way they are and are going.
Enviromentalists have lost their minds, anyone who puts the welfare of animals and some ice pack and trees that will grow back, ahead of the immediate health and welfare of American citizens, (human beings), are insane and should never ever be listened to.
I despise people such as Al Gore with their unsubstantiated claims of Global Warming. He carries with him now a very prestigious medal for his ideas on Global Warming, when in fact he has no proof whatsoever of it even existing.
They claim we're killing the world, we should recycle and not drill for oil, they say we should cut down no more trees, they say this as they live in wood frames homes and tossing their beer cans in the trash cans and drive suvs that burn a tank of gas just for a trip across town. Proving they are not true to their cause, only to the fame it brings them.
Many areas have recycle bins now with trash pick up, but what most people do not know about these recycle bins, is that for every household that actually uses them, they keep a record of it, so a total record of recyclers is kept and it is given to enviromentalists groups, and their representatives take these list to Washington with them, and use these list to intimidate congress into supporting their issue. How do they do this you ask? They show these list totals to congress and say, this many Americans are behind us, if you don't vote our way, this many Americans will not support your election campaign. And that, is words that sends a politician to shaking in their boots, so they cave in and sell us out and support the enviromentalist.
It's time we realize that God created earth, and it will not self destroy until He is ready for it to, and that will happen when His plan for it has been achieved. How extremely arrogant it is to even insinuate that we have the power and authority to altar our Creator's devine plan. Don't give me your comments now about the existence of God, if ya don't believe in Him, that's your problem, and you better believe it will be a problem for you one day. Buts that's another journal entry, not todays, so shoo go away!
And it's time for American's to wake up and stop eating the feces that the enviromentalist are trying to feed us, if not, then very very soon, the crap they feed us, will be the only thing we can afford to buy to eat.

Ross McGinnis's selfless and undaunting courage, four American soldiers lived to see another day, they lived to read another letter from home, to write another letter to home, and I pray to make it home safely.
Private First Class. Ross McGinnis will be missed for lifetimes and the pride the nation should have in this very young hero should never fade, his sacrifice shall always be remembered.
On September 29th of 2006, America lost one of her greatest sons. He was U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Micheal A. Monsoor. "Mikey" as he was known to his friends was a U.S. Navy Seal. He was 25 years young and always had a fun loving mischievous look on his face.

On September 29th 2006 he was on a mission in Ramadi, Iraq with his navy seal sniper team when they were cast into a moment of death. An insurgent tossed a hand grenade into their hideout. The grenade stuck Micheal in the chest and then bounced to the floor.

In an instant Micheal Monsoor and in an effort to protect his comrades from injury or death from it's blast, threw himself on top of the grenade tucking it with his hands tightly under his body, literally using his own body to shield his comrades from the grenade's deadly blast.

In his most selfless heroic actions, and at the cost of his own safety, Micheal Monsoor saved the lives of his fellow navy seals in the hideout with him. In his actions of extraordinary valor, Micheal Monsoor gave the last full measure, and paid the ultimate sacrifice for his fellow navy seals and for his country and countrymen. He died from his injuries soon after. Micheal Monsoor was a machine gunner with the Seal Team.

He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, (the third highest award for combat valor) for another act of valor that he commited on May 9, 2006 when he pulled a wounded Navy Seal to safety during a firefight.

Now for his acts of valor in sacrificing his life to protect his fellow seals from the grenade's blast, Micheal Monsoor has been rightfully so awarded this nations highest medal for valor, The Congressional Medal Of Honor.

While Micheal Monsoor has slipped into the hands of God, he has also slipped into the pages of American history and set higher the standard and expressed the honorable tradition of selfless military service.

May God Bless This Gentle Warrior Now With The Peace He So Heroically Fought To Restore And Keep!

I Believe

I believe in many things, like the sun
even when it doesn't shine.
I know it's up there, lighting the way
for all of mankind.

I believe in love though it's fragile,
and often seldom shown.
I know it exists, because it I have
known.

I believe in peace, although it seems
so very far away.
I believe in war, because it's taking
place everyday.

I believe in God, even when I cannot
hear Him speak, I always feel Him
near.
Though war and death is all around
us now, I can even feel Him here.

I believe in the Olive branch and the
dove.
I believe in all of God's angels, from
the Heaven's above.

So though you will weep for me as
I am gone.
Remember that you raised me well, to
believe and to trust in God above,
remember the happy times and the
memories, that shall forever live on.

Yes I believe in God, even when I
cannot hear Him speak, so as I pass
from life from this wound, I do so
without fear.
Because with a teardrop in His eye,
God is kneeling beside me here.

Just when I thought the campaigning for the presidential nomination couldn't get more interesting and even entertaining, Hillary just had to go and show me and the rest of the country that, yeap, it can.
As most of you know by now, or hopefully you know, Hillary is crawfishing on a statement she made about her trip to Tuzla when she was the First Lady. According to her statement, she and her daughter, I guess you would call her "First Daughter" Chelsea Clinton, and their "people" landed at the runway under heavy sniper fire. According to Hillary, they had to run from the plane with their heads ducked down and straight into the awaiting vehicles and speed away. Missing out on the huge welcoming crowd that was awaiting them.
As I listened to her make this comment, I knew something was odd about it. 1. If there was a welcoming crowd gathered, wouldn't they too have been running for cover had snipers been firing into the area? Seems they would <unless they were stupid> 2. If this had really happened, would it not have been big news back when it happened? Yet I do not recall ever hearing a word about it.
There is a reason the crowd waiting for her didn't run for cover and a reason that this incident didn't make the news headlines. That is because IT NEVER HAPPENED!
Since making this completely false statement the other day, people that accompanied Hillary on that very trip to Tuzla have come forward and said that no such thing happened. And as a result Hillary has been busy crawfishing on what she said, saying that it was just a case of her mis-speaking. Mis-speaking? Is that what it is called when politicians lie now days?
The sad thing, is if this had been a soldier of The United States Military "Mis-Speaking" about his combat experience, there would be a call for prosecution and court-martial of that soldier immediately! I think the same rule should apply to Presidents and those running for president as well, I mean come on, if they're the Commander-In-Chief, or wanting to be the Commander-In-Chief, shouldn't they too be held to the same standards of honor and loyalty as the very people they command? Lead by example!
What Hillary said though, made no difference to me as to who I will support as President for this great nation. My mind was made up long ago and made up against Hillary and Obama by their own words, when they entertained the completely stupid notion of forcing our troops to carry non-lethal ammunition in their rifles and sidearms. The reasoning for this? So that we do not kill the enemy in war, we shoot him with non-lethal ammunition <rubber bullets> which disables him long enough to be captured alive and taken as a prisoner of war, and at the end of the war, he is released unharmed to return safely back to his or her loved ones waiting at home.
That made me sick to my stomach almost instantly, if I remember correctly I think I even threw up in my mouth a little bit. What a slap in the face it is to all of the loved ones of our troops that have died or been wounded and fired on, to say that they need to now carry non-lethal ammunition to keep from killing the enemy, so he can return home to HIS LOVED ONES ALIVE! What about the loved ones of our troops?? Does anyone care? To put non-lethal ammunition in the weapons of our soldiers is an insult to every American soldier and their families, we would be sending them into battle with rubber bullets, while our enemy is firing Extremely Lethal Full Metal Jacketed AK-47 Ammuntion at them. To even consider this idea told me immediately that, America does not need either of them for President. So my support is for neither of them. However, inspite of Hillary's "Mis-Speaking" incident, I do feel she is the lessor of the two evils when it comes to her and Obama, I mean at least Hillary will salute the American flag and place her hand over her heart and recite the pledge, all of which are gestures of honor dedication, that Obama flat out refuses to do.
I feel honestly that this is one of the most important Presidential Elections in the history of this nation. We have enemies that wish nothing more than to see America Destroyed and every American dead, and they have proven they will stop at nothing to achieve this.
We need a president that will be strong, that will not hesitate, blink, or flinch. A president ready and willing to destroy the enemy at the first sign of threat, if not, America will suffer, it's citizens will suffer!
That is why my support for this Presidential election will be with John McCain.

Today, Thursday January 3rd, 2008. I was over in Collinsville, Mississippi, a community about ten miles from my home. I had alot of the usual errands to run and such, go to the bank, the co-op, the store and stuff like that. Usually it is an uneventful trip that I make, as it was this time, right up until I went inside the bank.

As I got out of my truck and walked towards the bank's front doors, I noticed this old car, it was a buick, I think a buick skylark maybe. What I noticed about the car was not really it's age. but it's condition. It had certainly seen it's better days. It had been banged up a little and had fenders from a couple of different buick skylarks put on it, I could tell this becuase they were still the colors of the cars that they had been salvaged from, one fender was maroon, and one was blue, however the car itself was a kind of rustied bronze goldish looking color. I walked on inside the bank, and got my stuff ready to take up to the teller and when I did there was this older gentleman in front of me. He looked to be in his early to middle eighties in age. He was at the teller doing his banking business. I noticed that he was holding in his hand a social security check and a Veteran's Administration check. The old man was not too steady, he walked with a cane and was somewhat slumped over a little.

He was making small talk with the cute little bank teller that was helping him, and she was extremely polite to him and just very helpful and patient with him, even though he was slow. I was standing right behind him, just listening to the things he had to say to her, enjoying hearing this man talk to someone. Just as he finished up his business, he said; "Thank You" to the teller and she said; "Thank You Sir, Have A Good Day, Happy New Year." When she said that to him, he stopped, and turned back to her, looked at me for a second and I smiled at him, letting him know that I was in no hurry. He again told her "Thank You" and said; "He hoped things did get better because he had been having a rough time of it since New Years. I just lost my two best friends in the world." The teller looked at him and said how sorry she was to hear of his loss. He looked at her and said; " I just lost my best friend from way back in the war, we had been very close ever since the war, and New Year's Day I lost my other best friend, my dog. He had to be put to sleep because of heart worms. I didn't have the money to pay to have him put to sleep, so now I have to go and pay the veternarian for his services." The little bank teller looked so sad for this man, and so did I. The old man then turned around and looked at me and said; " You know I think a dog can be your best friend and I think you can miss them just like you would miss a person friend that died, I know I do." I agreed with the old gent and felt sorry for him, I am sure that he is alone in the world, his wife has probably passed on and he just feels left alone. He then proceeded to tell us about his best friend from the war that had recently died. He said; " Paul was my best friend in the war, we watched out for each other over there, this cold weather makes me think of the days that he and I spent in the Ardennes Forest hunkered down in our foxhole, watching each other's backs protecting each other from the German troops that surrounded us there, and now he too is gone." Both the teller and myself gave him our condolences and sympathy and he went on about his way shuffling towards to door of the bank to leave. I stepped up and did my business which only took a few seconds, and then I was out the door as well. As I went out the door, I saw the old gentleman shuffling towards the beat up old car that I described earlier, the old beat up buick skylark. It made me feel even worse for this man.

I saw this man, an American Hero that has served his country in a time of World War. When he said he and his buddy use to watch out for each other in their foxholes in the Ardennes Forest, I knew immediately, that this old gentleman had seen alot of combat, because the Ardennes Forest was a place of heavy, HEAVY combat, some of the worst combat in the history of this country took place in the Ardennes Forest, for the battle that took place there is known as "THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE"

It made me feel sick to my stomach to see this man who had given so much of himself to serve this country, to get into a ride that probably was not even in legal condition to be on the highway. I couldn't help but think about this man throughout the day. I thought about all of the money this country spends on meaningless junk, and foreign aid money we hand over to people and countries that could care less about us and infact would want to see us destroyed and would aid in seeing it done. Then here this old soldier was today, missing his two best friends, and driving a fifty-dollar car. I think if we really, really tried just a little bit, no combat veteran would have to live from hand to mouth, and ride our streets in cars that most of us would not even allow in our driveways.

I chose the graphic up there for this column because it fit the old soldier perfectly. He loves his country, and he loves the men he fought beside, and he loves his dog, two of which have left him behind to go on to recieve their rewards in Heaven now. This man and his buddies, are known as; "America's Greatest Generation" Because they did nothing less than save the entire world during World War Two. His generation is dying out now, they're old and we're losing them rapidly day by day, it won't be long until they're all gone from us, and then they'll just be pages in history books, and souls in Heaven, re-gathered in peace, and then their Last Band Of Brothers will ride again, in the Heavens.

Last Band Of Brothers:::
Keni Thomas

Buddy If You Hear Me, Well You Know You Saved My Life, And I Won't Forget The Others On Our Left And On Our Right. It Won't Be Long Until I'm Gone, You Know I'll Join You Then, And Then Our Last Band Of Brothers Rides Again!

Something in me tells me that the old soldier I met today, is now only waiting to live out the chorus in Keni's song.

They Told Us We'd Be Heroes

I remember the day when I found
out we were shipping out for the big
desert in the east.
Going to save the hungry, from the
hands of the beast.
They told us we'd be heroes, in all
of the world's eye.
We'd dry even the teardrops, that God
Himself does cry.

We rucked up our gear, and we boarded
a plane.
Going to do the work of saviors, put food
in the bellies of the starving, and stamp
out the warlord's reign.
Touched down in Africa, the land of beauty
the home of the lion.
Got my first taste of genocide, and saw
thousands starving, sick and dying.

Astonished at the sight, a good feeling of
why I was there, I felt in my heart.
But soon that feeling would vanish, and
all the ugliness of madness would start.
I saw people shot dead in the streets, over
something as simple as a bag of rice.
Oh I learned very quick that in Somalia
nothing was easy and nothing was nice.

I learned of the blessing, that it was just
to be an American, living back home in
the states.
Compared to this place, America is like
Heaven's Pearly Gates.
God so many times I wish I had never come.
But allow my brother's to go without me? I
could not imagine that, not even some.

One hungry child, I remember so very well.
I fed his empty tummy, with food supplied by
the world, with the best of intent.
I watched over and protected him with my weapon
on the ready, as he ate till his tummy's content.
Jihleal, a good kid of the streets, maybe twelve
or thirteen.
I felt saddness for this kid, born in a place so
evil and mean.

Then came that day, in October of ninety-three.
We went into the badland of Mogadishu for the
warlord Adid.
There the whole city sat, ready to ambush and
murder all of my friends and me.
A firefight ensued, that would last throughout the
day and the night.
We lost ninteen good men, in one hell of a fight.

But I saw there in an alley, Jihleal one more time.
He ran from my left shoulder, behind my back to the
right in a single straight line.
A big welcoming smile upon his face, but an Ak-47
in his hand.
I watched him till he went into my blind spot behind me,
then I turned to the right to see where he would stand.

I thought maybe he was trying to help us, and I was
going to lead him to safety, for he was too young to
be in this battle, this attack.
Then suddenly I felt two hot hard hits, strike me in
my lower right back.
It knocked me to the dirty street, and I rolled over to
see.
Dear Lord there stood Jihleal, pointing his rifle at me.

I layed there in shock for second, wondering why, oh
why?
Why did this child I had fed, want so badly to make
me die?
Then Jihleal turned his rifle towards a friend of mine
that wasn't looking Jihleal's way.
He was about to kill another American, in the chaos
of the day.

In sheer shock I reacted, the way that I was trained to
react and found that the reaction itself, is a double
edged knife.
I pulled my sidearm from my holster, aimed and fired
five quick shots, taking Jihleal's young life.
As it knocked him off his feet, and he fell to the ground.
I saw a scared and confused look in his eyes, as a teardrop
trickled down.

Yeah they told us we'd be heroes, in all of the world's
eye.
We'd dry even the teardrops, that God Himself does
cry.
But now who God oh who, will wipe the tears from
my eye?

J.

Happy Veteran's Day

Hello, as I am sure you all know, today is Veteran's Day. A very special day set aside to pay tribute to, honor, thank and remember all of those very special heroes, that have worn the uniform of all branches of our United States Armed Forces.

All patriotic holidays are special days to me personally, and in my heart and mind their meanings and purpose are never lost. As this Veteran's Day so fast approaches, I am reminded of wars that took place in my own lifetime, The Vietnam War, The Iran Hostage Rescue Attempt, The Grenada Invasion, Panama, The Drug Wars In South & Central America, Operation Restore Hope and the firefight that took place during it in the Bakara Market in downtown Mogadishu, Somalia Africa, Desert Storm, and the currently ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Just in the wars and battles I have listed alone, literally thousands of American soldiers layed down their lives for the causes.

It brings to mind the soldiers in Iraq right now. Their daily lives and struggles, never knowing when they lay down to sleep tonight, if it will be their last time to do so, for tomorrow, a sniper or a suicide bomber may bring their deaths. It's a harsh reality to have to live day in and day out for 15 months at a time, but they're over there and their doing it everyday and everynight.
Lets for a moment take a walk, well as best as we can in written word, in the combat boots of the deployed American soldier.

" I walk these streets and highways and roads everyday, in search of who might be my enemy and who might be my friend. So often it is hard to tell one from the other, because I've seen friends of mine blown from this life in an instant by men with smiles upon their faces and bombs strapped to their bodies under their clothing. Some say " How do we combat an enemy, who is more than eager to vaporize his own body in an effort to kill you?" The answer is not a hard one, it's just one we have to finally face, and change the rules of engagement, that will allow us to stop him before he reaches his target.
Standing on this street corner, in downtown Baghdad, I see a man walking my way. He looks like the normal Iraqi to me, infact I have seen him a few times before, a smile upon his face, and a kind spoken; " Hello American G.I." Across the street from me, some of my fellow soldiers have their humvee pulled to the side of the street. Iraqi children and some of their parents gathered all around it excited and shouting out to the soliders, the soldiers are handing out candy, toothbrushes and other toys and trinkets that the kids so love to get. I stand and smile at the sight before me, feeling that some good is being done here.
Then I notice back to the man walking my way again, but today he is different, today there is no smile upon his face, and he is not looking at me. He is focused it seems, focused on the troops across the street giving candy to the kids. I see him as he begins to cross the street and make his way towards them. I see the look upon his face become more intense the closer to them he gets. It alarms me, but what can I do? I cannot fire upon him, for the rules of engagement say that I must wait until fired upon, or a hostile aggressive move is made. But still closer he walks towards my friends and those kids.
I ready my rifle, safety off, but still pointed at the ground. As he makes it to the crowd of kids and their parents and the soldiers there, he mingles into the crowd and stops there and stands. I've a bad feeling deep down in my gut, but again what can I do?
I watch with diligence and keep my eyes upon his face. I can see fear in his eyes and anxiousness, something is terribly different about him today. Suddenly his hands disappear within his garments, and I can stand there no longer, I shout out to the soldiers in the humvee, and as they turn to look at me, he detonates himself with a blast that knocks me twenty feet away and to the ground. My friends that remain alive I hear their moans of pain, children that remain alive scream out in pain, mothers and fathers, that remain alive scream out in fear for their children and from the pain their mangled bodies now feel.
I quickly rise back to my feet and rush over in a defensive posture.
I hear the shots ring out from an AK-47, two more soldiers dead, and feel a hot pain in my side as I am knocked off my feet yet again. I roll over to find an Iraqi standing there with an AK-47 rifle in his hands, firing on my wounded buddies and the children around.
I pull my sidearm from it's holster firing five quick shots, silencing his rifle, and taking his life. The only sounds that remain are the screams and the moans. I stagger to my feet, and realize that I've been hit, some soldiers come to my aid. But my wound is not life threatening. They help me to walk and prepare me to be evacuated out. I want to see the Iraqi gunner I killed. As we pass him by, I see that he is just a boy, a child, and in his mouth is candy, candy my friends had just given him, scattered beside his body is more candy and a trinket. He looks to me ten or twelve at the most. Filled with the candy from the hands of the people he hated and set out to kill on this day. His mother rushes from a house and collapses to her knees by his side, she weeps uncontrollably for her child son that I have killed. She looks up at me, and her eyes tell the story I do not want to read, to her I am a murderer, she screams: "How could you kill a child?" The only words I can muster from my lips are a simple "I'm Sorry." which she refuses as she spits at my boots. I've taken the life of a child now, how much worse can it get? How long will I live with that moment in my mind and in my heart? Or shall forever I regret?"

This was just a short little walk through one soldier's life. He could have been any soldier deployed anywhere at anytime in any of the conflicts I listed above and those before. They face all kinds of different struggles and situations while on patrol, and along with dealing with all of this, they deal also at the sametime with knowing that there are hundreds and thousands even, out there that wish to see them dead at any second and at any cost. The American Soldier in combat, lives a life that the protected never know of, but should certainly be appreciative of all of the time, not just one day a year. So today as you see a veteran as you go about your day, be him an old world war two or korean war or vietnam or the current war vet, walk up to him, smile a welcoming smile, shake his hand and just say; " Thank You!" that's the only thing a true soldier has ever asked for in return for all the horrors and sacrifices they have endured for Americans. Is that too much to ask of us? Is that too much for us to do? Give it a try, you'll be surprised at the feeling it gives you inside, and you will be touched by the feeling it gives the soldier and the look of happiness on his face.

Thank you to every soldier that has ever served, May God bless your valiant souls with the peace you have fought for and stood so bravely to protect and restore.

Happy Veteran's Day Everyone!

For some odd reason this entry did not stay on here last night, so I am trying it again!

I recieved the following, in an email a few weeks ago from a friend of mine, and when I read it I thought it was one of the most meaningful and most powerful emails I had recieved yet.
Dear God:

Why didn't you save the school children at?
Moses Lake, Washington 2/2/96
Bethel, Alaska 2/19/97
Pearl, Mississippi 10/1/97
West Paducah, Kentucky 12/1/97
Stamp, Arkansas 12/15/97
Jonesboro, Arkansas 3/24/98
Edinboro, Pennsylvania 4/24/98
Fayetteville, Tennessee 5/19/98
Springfield, Oregon 5/21/98
Richmond, Virginia 6/15/98
Littleton, Colorado 4/20/99
Taber, Alberta, Canada 5/28/99
Conyers, Georgia 5/20/99
Deming, New Mexico 11/19/99
Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 12/6/99
Santee, California 3/05/01
El Cajon, California 3/22/01
Blacksburg, VA 4/16/07?

Sincerely,
Concerned Student

Reply:

Dear Concerned Student:
Sorry, I am not allowed in schools.

Sincerely,
God

Then soon after reading that email, I heard of yet another school shooting on the news, and then a day or two later I saw on the news about the 14 year old boy in Pennsylvania, that was caught by police, stock piling weapons, rifles, pistols, even handgrenades and pipe bombs, all to be used in a plan he had devised on his own to make an assault on his school, classmates, other students and faculty, the likes of which would make the tragic attack at Columbine look like a walk in the park. Luckily this kid tried to talk a couple of his friends into helping him, and one of them had the good sense to go home and tell his father about it, who then went to the police. Otherwise we would have been hearing about a very horrible attack again by now I am sure.
After hearing of these events and all of those that have taken place in the past few years, I wondered to myself, why? Why is all of this happening now? Back when I was in elementary school on through high school and college even, nothing like this happened, it was never even a thought. I then wondered what was so different now, than back when I was in school? Then it hit me about the email that Taylor had sent to me, the one I added earlier. The one thing that is different now, from when I was in school, is that God is no longer allowed in school.
Then I thought about a conversation I was having just the other day with Laurinda, she had been telling me about a demon mask that seemed to be on bumper stickers and even seen someone wearing the mask on the side of the street, all of this mind you now was in preparation for Halloween I am sure. But hearing about that mask made me think of something and I told her, that the sad part of that was, that I bet a student could wear that mask and demon costume to their high school Halloween Carnival, and everyone would think they were cool for it. But at the very same Halloween Carnival, another student could dress up as Jesus Christ carrying His cross to Calvary, and he or she would be ridiculed for it, picked on and even shunned, and most likely asked by the faculty and administration, to remove the costume or leave the premises.
We have sat back and allowed our elected officials to give in to the bleeding heart liberals, and as a result give away our rights to express our religion and beliefs. The price of us allowing this to happen is coming back on us very hard now in our youth. They are carrying guns to school and killing each other at least once a week somewhere in America.
I would like to gather all of those politicians and Supreme Court judges who did not have the guts to stand up for what is right and what had always been, all in one room, and show them a video of every school shooting that has taken place, show them the dead and the wounded, the lives destroyed, and then at the end of the video, I would like to ask them, "Do you still think your votes to remove God and prayer from school was the right choice?" I bet that would instantly be the most silent room in America at that moment. I would want to see the shame and regret on their faces and in their hearts.
We've allowed too many kids to die and be maimed already and too many to slip through the cracks and become monsters. This nation was founded as One Nation Under God, and that is why this nation has been so strong and solid since it's birth. But things are going downhill fast for us, it's time for a change, a change back to being one nation under God, time for prayer and God to be allowed back in the schools where He is so greatly needed. It's not too late to make that change. If we make that change, everything in me tells me we will see a difference in our youth, a difference because we have gone back to teaching them the goodness of life, responsibility, honor, respect, and faith.
Until that change is brought about, I fear we will keep seeing kids going in to school heavily armed, killing as many as they can before killing themselves to avoid taking responsibility for what they have done.
And until those changes come about, we will continue to send our children off to school and pray to God that their day there is a safe one, and how ironic is it that we pray to the same God to protect our children at school, when we do not allow God in the schools anymore?

October 16, 2007

When I first read it, I thought it was one of the most powerful and awakening emails I had ever recieved.
Dear God:
Why didn't you save the school children at?
Moses Lake, Washington 2/2/96
Bethel, Alaska 2/19/97
Pearl, Mississippi 10/1/97
West Paducah, Kentucky 12/1/97
Stamp, Arkansas 12/15/97
Jonesboro, Arkansas 3/24/98
Edinboro, Pennsylvania 4/24/98
Fayetteville, Tennessee 5/19/98
Springfield, Oregon 5/21/98
Richmond, Virginia 6/15/98
Littleton, Colorado 4/20/99
Taber, Alberta, Canada 5/28/99
Conyers, Georgia 5/20/99
Deming, New Mexico 11/19/99
Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 12/6/99
Santee, California 3/05/01
El Cajon, California 3/22/01
Blacksburg, VA 4/16/07 ?

Sincerely,
Concerned Student

Reply:

Dear Concerned Student:
Sorry, I am not allowed in schools.
Sincerely,
God

Then last week, I saw on the news, about the 14 year old student, stock piling firearms, swords, hand grenades and pipe bombs, in order to carry out an assault on his fellow students and faculty at his school, the likes of which would make the attack on Columbine look like a walk in the park.
When I saw the report on the news and the weapons he had, and how specifically he had planned this assault, right down to the detail of attempting to recruit a couple of his friends into helping him with it. It made me think of how in the world things have come to this degree of ruthlessness and brutality in America's youth. It immediately reminded me of Taylor's email she sent me. The answer to the question I was asking myself, was right there in her email. God is not allowed in school, and wherever God is not allowed to be, evil can and most times will prevail.
Back when I was a child in elementary school, never did we have these kind of vicious evil acts, nor did we have them when I was in high school. I thought about that too, and wondered why? What is so different now days, than it was back then, and then it hit me, we didn't have shootings in school back then, but what we did have in school, was God. That's the only difference between now, and when I was in school. Maybe all of the politicians who caved in to liberal pressure, and voted to remove God from school, should look at what's happening today as a result of their cowardice to stand up for God and what is right and descent. I wonder what shame would hang upon their faces and hearts if they truly did that? I wonder if they would feel the wetness of the blood their hands are stained with? The blood of all of the children who have been killed and wounded in the rash of school shootings since we have banned God from entering the buildings.
I was just talking with a friend the other day and we were discussing something much like this. Laurinda was telling me about a demon halloween costume that seemed to be everywhere she looked the other day. The conversation eventually got serious, and led to my saying that the sad part of that costume was, that a student at any public school across America could come to the Halloween Carnival wearing that costume and he or she would probably be hailed as very cool for wearing it. While yet at the same school, the same carnival, another student could come dressed as Jesus Christ carrying His cross to Calvary, and yet he or she would be ridiculed, harrassed, picked on even, and most likely asked to remove the costume or leave the premises of the school by the faculty and staff.
This is where we and our elected officials have failed our youth miserably. We stood silently by while they took God and anything descent and honorable and respectful completely away from them. And now, look at the price we're paying at least once a week at some school in America. And now we worry when our child leaves home in the morning for school, praying to God that their day at school is safe. Praying to the very same God we said, was not allowed in school anymore. Kind of ironic isn't it?
