Piston Ponderings

You know its getting close to the season when you see all the ROCK Financial Billboards with Pistons on them Being put up all over the Local Freeways.

Now i get to wake up to pictures of Rip and Chauncy on my way to work.  Going To Work as they say.

So Camp starts soon and it will be interesting to see how the team responds to Flip Saunders.  Having Chauncy Billups on the team should help  the rest of the team take to Flip since Chauncy and Flip are being reuinited.

Im curious to see how Darko has improved IF ANY. Id hate to think he is a bust, but damn we could of had Carmello.....

Ponder This....

Would Detroit have won the Title 2 years ago if they had drafted Carmello rather than Darko??

You know it is really tough to have anything to say about a basketball team that just isn't doing any thing as of yet.

One more month to go....till than entries will be few and far between.  Hope to be in full force by the end Of OCtober once camp and preseason start.

Woohoo finally, roundball bloggers is going live today. Im dying to read blogs for the Eastern Conference this year.  Between Miami, Indiana, and Detroit the balance of POWER has switched from the Western Conference to the Eastern Conference.  No longer do we have to listen to the national media slurping on the Lakers and San Antonia.  All the big stories are in the EAST. 

Miami had a great offseason, Indiana is poised to make another run ( i was impressed over how far they went last year after all that happened to them last year), and Detroit well you cant argue with success going to the final NBA game 2 years in a row. 

So Eastern Conference Bloggers lets bring it on, have fun.  Speak you mind and spark a little controversy on the way.

Ponder This :   Shaq goes in the tank this year.  Hmmm

Two years straight the Pistons have made it to the final game of the NBA season.

Are they reloading enough for the likes of Miami and Indiana?

Well they did add Dale Davis a dinosaur from Indiana, not exactly blockbuster but it does fill the hole left by the ever dominant Elden Cambell.  HA.  Joke. 

Dale Davis isn't going to lead this team anywhere.  How about going after Latrell Sprewell  I mean lord knows we want to allow him to feed his family.  Or rumors about a trade for Kevin Garnnett surfaced a few weeks ago.  I say go for that.  I love the Wallaces, but Garnett is the real deal.

But hey still a few months til the season begins.  Hopefully the Pistons play the last game again next year.

So i say NO, they haven't reloaded enough, they need more to compete with Miami and Indiana, funny how just 2 seasons ago the Eastern Conference was a Joke, now it seems to have eclipsed the Western Conference.  What a turnaround.
