fever dreams
The worst thing about this particular flu bug seems to be the severe fever that accompanies it. It really sucks. I know that sustained high fever is bad for your body, but when I'm sick I get stupidly stubborn and think that really cranking up my internal heat will kill all the little viruses in my body. So I shiver and sweat and somehow believe I'm doing the correct thing. No. Wrong. That's why they make Advil gel caps...which I highly recommmend if you're above 98.6.
I 'd have dreams that felt like reality and vica-versa. At one point I was sure I saw Penn (from Penn & Teller) in my kitchen -- but it could have just been Lumpy. I also had many bizarre dreams that seemed like mini-movies that I was watching on a screen. I illustrated several of these, but am only going to post these two because there's no real good reason to turn this blog into a bunch of flu stories. I'm over it.

I've read/heard that fever does kill the viruses and such--and as long as it doesn't go over 104, you're all right. But if there's aches and pain involved, I throw that notion right out the window.
Interesting dreams: I don't dream, anymore--or don't remember them, at least. Funny, I don't miss it. -
This is the bad thing for me, when I take any pain meds, I get weird dreams.
