Inner and Outer Demons

If you get a chance, check out the cable channel WE (which I think stands for Women's Entertainment) on Monday nights for "High School Confidential".  It's a reality show/documentary that follows a bunch of high school-aged girls over the course of four years...and it was filmed here in my very own town!  Well, it was filmed in the rich part of my town anyway.

It's really well done.  I recommend this show even though I've never really liked teenagers -- even when I was one.  Those years were so horrible and silly.  I knew even then that it was a false reality.  A bad dream. The kids documented in this series don't seem to realize that though, and they are so overly dramatic and maddeningly stupid that I actually caught myself lecturing my TV screen while it was on.  They have no idea that real life is nothing like their high school days in a safe, pristine little suburb.  Reality is a concept which is actively avoided among these brats.  It's frustrating but still fascinating.

  Having raised my own version of overly dramatic, doesn't have a clue child...this show just might be entertaining to some degree. (Hugs) Indigo
